  • Patent number: 12221221
Abstract: A method of operating a hybrid engine for an aircraft, the hybrid engine having a thermal engine and an electric motor. The method includes verifying, using an engine control unit of the hybrid engine, that a selected power level is under a predetermined threshold for operation of the hybrid engine in a sub-idle hybrid mode. The method further includes operating the hybrid engine in the sub-idle hybrid mode, using the engine control unit, by controlling the thermal engine to operate in a standby mode, and by controlling the electric motor to operate in an active mode wherein the electric motor provides a majority of a propulsive power to the aircraft, wherein in the standby mode the thermal engine operates in a sub-idle condition to provide at most minimal propulsive power to the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 12210510
Abstract: A digital security system can store data associated with entities in resolver trees. If the digital security system determines that two resolver trees are likely representing the same entity, the digital security system can use a merge operation to merge the resolver trees into a single resolver tree that represents the entity. The single resolver tree can include a merge node indicating a merge identifier of the merge operation. Nodes containing information merged into the resolver tree from another resolver tree during the merge operation can be tagged with the corresponding merge identifier. Accordingly, if the merge operation is to be undone, for instance if subsequent information indicates that the entries are likely separate entities, the resolver tree can be unmerged and the nodes tagged with the merge identifier can be restored to a separate resolver tree.

  • Publication number: 20250026318
Abstract: An electric vehicle (EV) battery pack replacement system includes a replacement pack ramp structure having a replacement pack ramp, a vehicle-mountable battery pack receptacle, and a vehicle-mountable replacement pack coupling system structured to be operable to connect a vehicle to a replacement pack positioned on the ramp during movement of the vehicle over the ramp. Further movement of the vehicle over the ramp after connection to the replacement pack to the vehicle moves the replacement pack up the ramp. The ramp is structured so that movement of the replacement pack up the ramp causes the replacement pack to be positioned in in the receptacle. The system uses continuous motion of the vehicle and the replacement pack coupling system for loading a new battery, obviating the need for robotics or other active or powered infrastructure external to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250029334
Abstract: Approaches presented herein provide systems and methods for generating three-dimensional (3D) objects using compressed data as an input. One or more models may learn from a hash table of latent features to map different features to a reconstruction domain, using a hash function as part of a learned process. A 3D shape for an object may be encoded to a multi-layered grid and represented by a series of embeddings, where given point within the grid may be interpolated based on the embeddings for a given layer of the multi-layered grid. A decoder may then be trained to use the embeddings to generate an output object.

  • Patent number: 12189791
Abstract: A distributed security system can include instances of a compute engine that can execute either locally in security agents on client devices or as cloud instances in a security network. Event data can be processed by elements of the distributed security system according to centrally-defined ontological definitions and/or configurations. Bounding managers of local security agents can control how much event data is sent to the security network. A storage engine in the security network can store event data received from client devices, can route event data to other elements of the security network, including cloud instances of the compute engine. An experimentation engine of the security network can also at least temporarily adjust other elements of the distributed security system during experiments or tests.

  • Publication number: 20240423341
Abstract: A storage bag assembly for storing and readily retrieving an article includes a shell, which is semirigid or rigid and has a top that is open, and a hood, which is resiliently flexible. The shell comprises opposed sidewalls, which extend between front and back walls. As the front wall is dimensionally shorter than the back wall, an upper section of each opposed sidewall extends convexly from the front wall to the back wall. The hood comprises a center panel and a pair of side panels. A front edge of the center panel is attached to an upper edge of the front wall and the side panels are attached to its opposing edges. Rear and bottom edges of the side panels are resiliently elastic, enabling the hood to be positionable and self-retained in an open configuration and a closed configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240427324
Abstract: Implementations relate to techniques of monitoring conditions of tools used in device manufacturing systems. The techniques include storing a failure index (FI) model generated using run-time sensor data that was collected during operations of a tool that occurred prior to a low number of failures of the tool or even before any such failures occur. The FI model includes an FI function of the run-time sensor data and FI threshold value(s) associated with conditions of the tool. The techniques further include collecting new run-time sensor data and applying the FI model to the new run-time sensor data to identify one or more conditions associated with the tool. • Publication number: 20240407518
Abstract: A hair styling device and a hair styling method are described, for imparting a wave to a section of hair, the device having a first forming member, a second forming member, and a hair-receiving region between the first forming member and the second forming member. A primary driving element is movable relative to the first forming member and the second forming member and is adapted to move the section of hair in the hair-receiving region in a hair-deforming direction. The device has a secondary driving element, movable relative to the first forming member and the second forming member, and adapted to move the section of hair in the hair-receiving region in a direction opposed to the hair-deforming direction. The secondary driving element can thereby drive the section of hair into a more relaxed position to produce a more natural looking wave.

  • Patent number: 12158868
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for improved per-frequency counting systems that record interactions between individuals and a group of providers while maintaining differential privacy. A protocol may be defined that specifies frequency bins to categorize identifiers corresponding to individuals. A provider may generate a plurality of private sketches, each corresponding to a plurality of frequencies defined in the protocol. Frequency data is determined for each identifier. Identifiers are encoded into the private sketches corresponding to the identifiers' associated frequency. The plurality of private sketches from each provider in the group of providers are combined to generate a deduplicated distribution across the group. In one implementation, the private sketches of each provider are sequentially merged until all sketches have been combined, from which the total distribution can be estimated.
