  • Publication number: 20160253750
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a data analysis system that may automatically generate memory-efficient clustered data structures, automatically analyze those clustered data structures, automatically tag and group those clustered data structures, and provide results of the automated analysis and grouping in an optimized way to an analyst. The automated analysis of the clustered data structures (also referred to herein as data clusters) may include an automated application of various criteria or rules so as to generate a tiled display of the groups of related data clusters such that the analyst may quickly and efficiently evaluate the groups of data clusters. In particular, the groups of data clusters may be dynamically re-grouped and/or filtered in an interactive user interface so as to enable an analyst to quickly navigate among information associated with various groups of data clusters and efficiently evaluate those data clusters in the context of, for example, a fraud investigation.

  • Patent number: 9428178
Abstract: A vehicle includes a powertrain including an electric machine and a traction battery. The vehicle also includes at least one controller programmed to, during a transmission shift event, cause the electric machine to absorb torque. The torque absorption causes current generated by the electric machine to charge the battery according to a predetermined power transfer schedule defining a charge limit. The controller is further programmed to permit the current to exceed the charge limit for a predetermined duration of time in certain instances.

  • Patent number: 9346381
Abstract: A vehicle seat has a carriage that moves linearly with respect to a base, and a locking apparatus for preventing unwanted movement of the carriage in the event of an emergency. The locking apparatus has first and second toothed components which inter-engage such that, during movement of the carriage with respect to the base, one of the first and second toothed components imparts movement to the other. A locking gear is engaged with the teeth of the first component for rotation thereby, and is movable into a locking state where it also engages with the teeth of the second component to prevent relative movement between the first and second components. The locking gear moves into the locking state in response to a decelerating force above a threshold level.

The automated analysis of the clustered data structures (also referred to herein as data clusters) may include an automated application of various criteria or rules so as to generate a compact, human-readable analysis of the data clusters. The human-readable analysis (also referred to herein as “summaries” or “conclusions”) of the data clusters may be organized into an interactive user interface so as to enable an analyst to quickly navigate among information associated with various data clusters and efficiently evaluate those data clusters in the context of, for example, a fraud investigation. Embodiments of the present disclosure also relate to automated scoring of the clustered data structures.

  • Patent number: 9327721
Abstract: Systems and methods for starting an engine of a hybrid vehicle that is in a creep mode are presented. In one example, a torque converter lockup clutch is released and vehicle speed is closed loop controlled in response to a request to start an engine. • Publication number: 20160090180
Abstract: A deployment mechanism for a seat table has a non-linear motion slide comprising a primary carriage movable back and forth along a primary track. A secondary carriage is coupled to the primary carriage and moves with the primary carriage. A secondary non-linear track runs non-parallel with the primary track. The secondary carriage is coupled to the secondary track and is movable back and forth along the secondary track. The coupling between the secondary carriage and the primary carriage allows relative movement between the carriages in a transverse direction and allows relative rotation between the secondary carriage and the primary carriage about a perpendicular axis.

  • Patent number: 9296388
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for extending an engine-off period of a hybrid vehicle while reducing engine cold-start emissions. During an engine pull-up to meet operator demand, the engine is held at a higher power for a longer duration to aggressively heat the exhaust catalyst. Subsequently, the engine is pulled up to a lower power and held at the lower power for shorter bursts of time to activate the exhaust catalyst.
