  • Patent number: 5023915
Abstract: Separate audio amplifier channels are provided with separate input signal level controls so that the output of one channel is unaffected by the input signal level of the other channel, and vice versa. A switch controls selection of the desired channel. Three channels also be provided and first and second switches control selection of any one of the three channels. As before, separate input signal level controls are provided for the three channels so that each is unaffected by the signal level control of either of the others. Two channels may be distortion channels, each with an input level control and also with an output level control. One channel may be a clean sound channel.

  • Patent number: 4920698
Abstract: A slidable pane power window assembly for mounting in the rear window of truck cabs is disclosed. The assembly comprises a frame dimensioned to fit in the rear window opening of a truck cab and fitted with one or more fixed and slidable window panes. A slidable pane is moved horizontally into an opened and closed position by a rack and pinion drive, wherein a rack affixed to the slidable pane is engaged by a pinion powered by a motor connected to the pinion via power transmission cable. Another embodiment uses a push-pull mechanism for operating the window.

  • Patent number: 4484187
Abstract: Apparatus and method are disclosed for selecting colors for presentation in a display device such as a CRT. The apparatus includes a pair of video memories that store picture element (pixel) data for presentation at the same location of the display device. A color map, or video look-up table, stores digitally encoded colors that are provided at its output in response to a digital input address. The digital input address is partioned into several portions. Pixel data from the first video memory supplies one portion of the digital input address while pixel data from the second video memory supplies another. Neither video memory has priority in selecting the color presented on the video display although the color map is programmable to give effective priority to either one.The digital address is further partioned into a third portion to thereby define the color map as a plurality of segments.

  • Patent number: 4471710
Abstract: Disclosed is a building panel curved along the major and minor axes which can be manufactured from a plurality of strips of building material each having the same geometric shape. A mold is provided upon which a first layer of geometrically identical strips is temporarily fastened. In a preferred embodiment, at least a second layer of strips is provided over the first layer and bonded thereto by an epoxy adhesive. Because all of the strips have the same geometric shape and can be mass produced and a compound or complex curvature panel can be made at extremely low cost. Additionally, disclosed is the application of such a compound or complex curved panel to the housing and in the preferred embodiment, boat building fields. Additionally disclosed is the method of applying such a panel to the building of a boat hull.

  • Patent number: 4240552
Abstract: A display package for replacement hardware parts, or other merchandise and products, is provided which comprises a cardboard backing card and a transparent plastic member mounted on the card to form an enclosure for the merchandise; the transparent plastic member being shaped to cause the enclosure to have a first section of substantial depth for containing and displaying the merchandise, and a second section of minimal depth for containing and displaying an insert which has indicia describing the merchandise imprinted thereon. A feature of the package is that it can be used for a wide variety of products since all descriptive matter concerning the products is imprinted on the insert, rather than on the package itself, and different inserts can be placed in the package for different products.

  • Patent number: 4084347
Abstract: An improved door suitable for use in industrial plants and other such areas where the door is to be opened and closed by objects or vehicles which strike the side of the door. The door has a hollow body provided with a monolithic construction and is formed from a moldable material which is highly resistant to impact forces exerted thereon. The body is filled with a foamed-in-place insulating material and has reinforcing means at spaced locations therein to maintain the shape of the door. Gasket structure is used at one or more margins of the door, and the door is to be swingably mounted on an adjacent door jamb.

  • Patent number: 4080906
Abstract: A bulkhead for installation across a compartment wherein a first multi-ply panel has a narrow flap along one edge, a narrow flap across the top and a narrow partial thickness extension along the edge parallel to one edge. A second multi-ply panel has a narrow flap along one edge, a narrow flap across the top and a narrow partial thickness extension along the edge parallel to the one edge of the second panel. The combined widths of said panels is less than the width of the compartment and the combined widths of the panels plus the widths of the partial thickness extensions is greater than the width of said compartment.
