Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to consultation among feedback instances. According to one aspect, a system can receive a feedback instance consultation request for a consultation among an original feedback instance and a target feedback instance. The target feedback instance can be consulted with by the original feedback instance to enable the original feedback instance to cure a deficiency. The system can examine the feedback instance consultation request to determine if a match exists with an application programming interface associated with a target feedback instance model upon which the target feedback instance is based. If examination of the feedback instance consultation request determines that a match exists, the system can update the target feedback instance model with an intercommunication plan by which the consultation can occur. The system also can update an original feedback instance model upon which the original feedback instance is based.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to escalation of feedback instances. In one aspect disclosed herein, a feedback instance escalation resolver (“FIER”) system can receive a feedback instance escalation request from an original feedback instance. The feedback instance escalation request can identify a deficiency in the original feedback instance. The FIER system can examine the feedback instance escalation request and an objective of the original feedback instance to identify a new objective of an escalated feedback instance. The FIER system can create a definition for the escalated feedback instance to satisfy the objective and can map the definition for the escalated feedback instance to an existing feedback instance model. The FIER system can generate a feedback instance escalation realization request directed to a feedback instance orchestrator and controller (“FIOC”) system.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to ephemeral feedback instances. According to one aspect of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a policy engine can receive data and a policy request from a policy requestor. The policy engine also can determine whether a policy is available to satisfy the policy request. If the policy engine determines that a policy is available to satisfy the policy request, the policy engine can retrieve, from a policy repository, the policy to satisfy the request and can instruct one or more policy enforcement points to enforce the policy. If the policy engine determines that a policy is not available to satisfy the policy request, the policy engine can perform a feedback instance method to satisfy the policy request.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to the dynamic creation and management of ephemeral coordinated feedback instances. In accordance with one aspect disclosed herein, a system can receive a feedback instance creation request. The feedback instance creation request can be received from a policy engine in response to the policy engine attempting to satisfy a policy request. The system can examine the feedback instance creation request to determine an objective to be met by a new feedback instance model. The system can build a specification for the new feedback instance model. The specification can be built in accordance with a feedback instance building policy. The system can create the new feedback instance model in accordance with the specification. The system can store the new feedback instance model and a unique identifier associated with the new feedback instance model in a feedback instance model repository.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to modes of policy participation for feedback instances. According to one aspect, a system can receive an event associated with an active feedback instance operating in a runtime. The system can map the event to a policy participation level policy. The system can determine a new policy participation level for the active feedback instance according to the policy participation level policy.

Abstract: A multimedia device processes a remote control signal that includes a unique identifier. A profile associated with the identifier is provided to the remote control over a bi-directional link that includes a cellular connection between the remote control and a cellular base station. A display mode instruction from the remote control may control a display mode determining whether content is sent only to a remote control display, only to a television display, or to both. A content mode instruction may determine whether all content is displayed or commercial-free content only is displayed. An interactive display may be provided in accordance with the display mode instruction and the content mode instruction. The multimedia device may provide a notification message indicating a change in content status of a multimedia program to the remote control.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for obtaining ratings using a rating service. A server computer executing a rating service can detect arrival of a user device at a vendor location. The server computer also can detect an interaction with a product offered at the vendor location by the user device. The server computer can determine that a rating for the product is to be requested, and can request the rating from the user device.

Abstract: Utilizing a virtual proxy system to emulate a portion of a communication is presented herein. A method can include receiving status information corresponding to a communication session of a communication device; based on the status information, determining, utilizing a rule representing a condition corresponding to the communication session, an action to be performed with respect to an emulation of a portion of the communication session; and sending an instruction representing the action directed to a proxy device for performance of the emulation. In an example, the action can include translating the portion of the communication session to a text message, and sending, via the proxy device, the text message directed to the communication device. In another example, the action can include generating a proxy communication corresponding to the portion of the communication session, and sending, via the proxy device, the proxy communication to a target communication device.

Abstract: A system receives a communication from a user via a first communication channel used by users to automatically resolve an issue. The system monitors, using a processor of a computer, interaction between the user and the system during the communication. Then, as a result of the monitoring, a failed attempt by the user to resolve an issue is identified. The failed attempt is categorized into one of a plurality of categories for each of which a different option for establishing a second communication to resolve the issue is provided. A second communication is then established with the user via a second communication channel distinct from the first communication channel, in accordance with the categorizing, to resolve the failed attempt.

Abstract: Embodiments provide an automated knowledge management service. A method includes receiving, at a computer processor that implements the knowledge management service, a request for information from a requesting entity. The method also includes generating, by the computer processor, a search query to search for the information across multiple compartmentalized data sources that are non-local to the automated knowledge management service, searching the multiple compartmentalized data sources for the information, and retrieving the information from one of the multiple compartmentalized data sources. The method further includes determining an access channel for transmitting the information, formatting the information to correspond to a format recognized by the access channel, and transmitting formatted information to the requesting entity.

Abstract: A personalized interactive service is provided by setting a profile of an individual for use by an entity that provides the interactive service. At least a portion of the profile is set independent of any network communication session between the individual and the entity. A personalized interactive script is personalized for the individual in the event that the individual initiates a communication with the entity to obtain the interactive service. The personalized interactive service is provided to the individual when the personalized interactive script is executed based on the individual initiating a communication session between the individual and the entity.

Abstract: Interactive services are enhanced by intercepting a session initiation protocol message used to initiate a bidirectional communication and in transit to a networked recipient computer that provides interactive services for the bidirectional communication to be initiated. Supplemental information is obtained based on information in the session initiation protocol message in order to provide to the networked recipient computer of the bidirectional communication to be initiated. A computer processor of an intermediary computer is used to insert the supplemental information into the session initiation protocol message. The session initiation protocol message is routed with the supplemental information inserted to the networked recipient computer that provides the interactive services for the bidirectional communication to be initiated.

According to one aspect disclosed herein, a user device can receive an output from a pressure sensor. The output can include parameters associated with a pressure applied to the pressure sensor by a user. The user device can analyze the output to determine a command to be executed by the user device. The user device can execute the command.

Abstract: A disclosed remote control, suitable for use with a set top box or other form of multimedia handling device, includes a processor, a user input device, and a display. The user input device and the display are communicatively coupled to the processor. A communication adapter is configured to place the processor in bi-directional communication with the multimedia handling device. The remote control further includes a storage medium that may include a unique identifier of the user and a user profile indicative of the user's channel preferences and viewing permissions. The storage medium may further include software instructions to synchronize the user profile with a corresponding user profile on the multimedia handling device, receive input from the user via the user input device, the input including commands from the user to manipulate the multimedia handling device, and display output on the display screen in response to the user's commands.

Abstract: A supplemental rescue resources system can receive an emergency alert message from a mobile device and use data from the message and other sources to determine and select appropriate supplemental rescue resources, which may include may include any person that has volunteered or is otherwise a participant in the system that is not an on-duty emergency responder. The supplemental rescue resources system may select a supplemental rescue resources based on the location of such resources relative to the location of an incident, and/or the qualifications and/or preferences of such resources. The supplemental rescue resources system may direct resources to the incident and notify emergency services providers of the supplemental resources.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing ratings using a rating service. A server computer can execute a rating service. The rating service can be configured to detect an activity associated with a user device and to identify a rating associated with the activity. The server computer can determine if the rating is to be provided to the user device and, if a determination is made that the rating is to be provided to the user device, provide the rating to the user device.

Abstract: A mobile device intermediary for vehicle adaptation is disclosed. A mobile device intermediary can access driver profile information and vehicle profile information from a remotely located device, determine vehicle adaptation information based on the driver profile information and vehicle profile information, and facilitate access to the vehicle adaptation information to facilitate adapting an aspect of a first vehicle. The mobile device intermediary can further receive other vehicle profile information related to a second vehicle associated with a driver profile and include the other vehicle profile information in determining the vehicle adaptation information. The vehicle adaptation information can be related to adapting a performance aspect of the first vehicle. The vehicle adaptation information can also be related to adapting an amenity aspect of the first vehicle.

Abstract: A method and system for interactive home monitoring includes detecting a visitor arriving at a premises of a multimedia content distribution network (MCDN) client by an intercom unit installed at the premises. The intercom unit may be coupled to the MCDN client, which may be configured to wirelessly communicate with a user of the MCDN client. A captured image of the visitor may be used to determine if an identity of the visitor is known or unknown. Based on the identity, a communication channel between the visitor and the user may be established at the intercom unit. The intercom unit may further be configured to provide further information to the visitor based on the visitor identity.
