Publication number: 20250134393Abstract: A device which provides a measure of the compliance of a vessel wall based on a change in pressure, which causes the vessel to distend. The device comprises a coil and capacitor, forming a tank circuit. The coil is expandable and positioned along a portion of the vessel so that when the portion of the vessel expands or contracts, the coil will also expand or contract, changing the area inside the coil. This change in area alters the coil inductance, and therefore the resonant frequency of the tank circuit, which can be detected externally.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: James William PHILLIPS, Robert ABRAMS

Patent number: 12281303Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided herein for conducting prime editing of a target DNA molecule (e.g., a genome) that enables the incorporation of a nucleotide change and/or targeted mutagenesis. The compositions include fusion proteins comprising nucleic acid programmable DNA binding proteins (napDNAbp) and a polymerase (e.g., reverse transcriptase), which is guided to a specific DNA sequence by a modified guide RNA, named an PEgRNA. The PEgRNA has been altered (relative to a standard guide RNA) to comprise an extended portion that provides a DNA synthesis template sequence which encodes a single strand DNA flap which is synthesized by the polymerase of the fusion protein and which becomes incorporated into the target DNA molecule.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2023Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignees: The Broad Institute, Inc., President and Fellows of Harvard CollegeInventors: David R. Patent number: 12268812Abstract: A control system provides automated control of gas washout of a patient interface, such as a mask or nasal prongs. A gas washout vent assembly of the system may include a variable exhaust area such as one defined by overlapping apertures of the assembly or a conduit having a variable gas passage channel. The vent assembly may be formed by nested structures, such as conic or cylindrical members, each having an opening of the overlapping apertures. The vent assembly may be attached substantially near or included with the patient interface. An actuator of the assembly, such as a solenoid or voice coil, manipulates an aperture of the vent assembly. Patent number: 12265221Abstract: Head-mounted augmented reality (AR) devices can track pose of a wearer's head to provide a three-dimensional virtual representation of objects in the wearer's environment. An electromagnetic (EM) tracking system can track head or body pose. A handheld user input device can include an EM emitter that generates an EM field, and the head-mounted AR device can include an EM sensor that senses the EM field. EM information from the sensor can be analyzed to determine location and/or orientation of the sensor and thereby the wearer's pose. The EM emitter and sensor may utilize time division multiplexing (TDM) or dynamic frequency tuning to operate at multiple frequencies. Voltage gain control may be implemented in the transmitter, rather than the sensor, allowing smaller and lighter weight sensor designs. The EM sensor can implement noise cancellation to reduce the level of EM interference generated by nearby audio speakers.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2022Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: MAGIC LEAP, INC.Inventors: Brian Bucknor, Christopher Lopez, Michael Janusz Woods, Aly H.
