  • Patent number: 6511207
Abstract: The present invention is a device that functions as a letter display panel 1. The display panel 1 is a body 2 that is a relatively thin piece of material having front and rear surfaces 4 and 6 with an edge 5 that extends between the front and rear surfaces, 4 and 6. In a preferred embodiment, a kit having a plurality of identical display panels 1 is provided for use with ornamental light strings. Each separate display panel 1 is capable of forming an individual lighted letter when used with the ornamental light string, as will be described below. The separate display panels 1 may be then coupled together to form written messages and the like.

  • Publication number: 20020100849
Abstract: An attachment device is presented that is designed to be mounted onto a pole or other lengthy object. The device has two major components: a pole mounting portion attached to a spool mounting portion. By mounting the device onto the pole, the reach of a user is extended such that the user need not mount a ladder when mounting the light strings onto the building or other structure. The spool mounting section is designed to removably and rotationally receive an ornamental light string, ready to distribute stored ornamental light strings.

  • Patent number: 5951148
Abstract: The present invention is a device that is adapted to be received over individual lighting elements of an ornamental light string. The preferred form of the device is a body of primarily unitary construction and having an open end and a closed end. The lighting element is received through the open end and into the body of the device. The diameter of the open end is adapted to snugly fit around the outer diameter of the light element for frictive adhesion. The device of the present invention is adapted to substantially block any light emitted from the lighting element such that remote viewers are unable to detect them. In alternate embodiments, the device of the present invention is modified to allow a reduced amount of luminosity to escape thereby rendering the covered lighting element dimmer than an uncovered element. Additionally, the present invention may be included with traditional ornamental lighting strings in a kit form.
