Publication number: 20220364268Abstract: A method generates at least one deterministic F-center in a diamond layer. By implanting a dopant in the diamond layer and incorporating at least one foreign atom in the diamond layer by low-energy bombardment for the formation of the F-center in a second step, conversion rates of greater than 70% can be achieved. This is a significant increase in relation to undoped diamond, in which the conversion rates are only around 6%. Via doping with a donor, such as phosphorous, oxygen or sulphur, a good conversion into negatively charged F-centers can be achieved, which are used for Qubit applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2020Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Jan Berend Meijer, Sébastien Pezzagna, Tobias Lühmann, Ralf Wunderlich

Publication number: 20220318661Abstract: A method of addressing at least one qubit to be addressed in a set of two or more qubits includes exposing the qubit to be addressed to an electromagnetic field; and at a same time exposing another qubit of the set of two or more qubits to an electromagnetic counter field in such a way that the electromagnetic field has no effect on the other qubit or that the electromagnetic field has a different effect on the other qubit than on the qubit to be addressed. A device for performing the method includes the set of two or more qubits and electromagnetic sources for generating the electromagnetic field and electromagnetic counter field.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2020Publication date: October 6, 2022Inventors: Jan Berend Meijer, Roger John, Robert Staacke
