  • Publication number: 20020059264
Abstract: A method for presenting business data using a computer system. Business data, which need not be part of a single data structure in any format, of at least one enterprise is associated with a business model. The business model has at least one indicator pertinent to performance of a business and at least one category identifying an aspect of the business to which the indicator may be pertinent. For each pair of indicator and category in the business model, there may exist a parameter, which is derivable from the business data and not necessarily pre-existing in such business data. Pursuant to a query that defines one or more indicator-category pairs, the business data is used to derive values of one or more parameters corresponding to the one or more indicator-category pairs in the query.

  • Patent number: 5911408
Abstract: A transportable lift includes a base and an elevator connected to the base which is arranged to support and vertically lift a load relative to the base. Transport wheels are connected to the base and are vertically moveable relative to the base. A control mechanism is connected to a frame for the transport wheels to selectively disable transport when a load is on the elevator. The control mechanism includes a drive connected to the frame for the transport wheels which, in use, exerts a first transport enabling force on the frame. A counter drive is connected to the base and the drive which, in use, exerts a second force to compensate the first force and a weight of exclusively the lift.
