Publication number: 20170250602Abstract: A digitally compensated circuit for a power supply having a plurality of integrated circuits. The plurality of integrated circuits has a digitally variable slope controller to adjust charge time of an inductor and voltage distortion and an adjustable voltage generator, which generates a modified voltage set point. The digitally compensated circuit has a comparator, which compares the modified voltage set point to a first feedback and turns off a comparator output signal when first feedback approaches or exceeds the modified voltage set point. An adjustable pulse width modulator generator produces an output voltage. A current monitor receives output voltage and provides a second feedback, which is transferred to the plurality of integrated circuits. An inductor receives output voltage and generates variable output power for a load, utilizing the digitally variable slope controller to reduce oscillation, system disturbances, and subharmonic oscillations over a dynamic voltage input range.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2017Publication date: August 31, 2017Applicant: DEAN TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Craig Sean Dean, Lynn Edward Roszel, Scott Richard Wilson, Erik Steven Haugarth, Jan Simon Reuning

Publication number: 20170078792Abstract: A method of removing an electric crosstalk contribution is disclosed. This crosstalk exists in a monitoring signal from a monitored electro-mechanical transducer in a device comprising a plurality of electro-mechanical transducers which are driven by actuation signals so as to produce acoustic waves in an acoustic frequency range. The method comprises the steps of: (a) applying an actuation signal to at least one of the transducers other than the monitored transducer; (b) detecting the monitoring signal in a high frequency range outside of the acoustic frequency range; (c) deriving, from the detected monitoring signal, a number of parameters that characterize the electric crosstalk; and (d) using said parameters to calculate the electric crosstalk contribution in the acoustic frequency range.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2016Publication date: March 16, 2017Applicant: Océ-Technologies B.V.Inventor: Jan SIMONS

Patent number: 8468169Abstract: A processor chip may have a built-in hardware lock and deterministic exclusive locking of the hardware lock by execution units executing in parallel on the chip. A set of software locks may be maintained, where the execution units set and release the software locks only by first acquiring a lock of the hardware lock. A first execution unit sets a software lock after acquiring a lock of the hardware lock, and other execution units, even if exclusively locking the hardware lock, are unable to lock the software lock until after the first execution unit has reacquired a lock of the hardware lock and possibly released the software lock while exclusively locking the hardware lock. An execution unit may release a software lock after and while holding a lock of the hardware lock. The hardware lock is released when a software lock has been set or released.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2010Date of Patent: June 18, 2013Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Jonathan Ross, Ronald Aigner, Jan Simon Rellermeyer, Jork Loeser

Publication number: 20120197870Abstract: A method is provided for transforming entity and relation data using a proxy engine. A proxy data engine can intercept a virtual query directed to a data provider application on a data repository device. The proxy data engine can transform the virtual query into a native query capable of being processed by the data provider application. The virtual query can include a virtual entity-relation object not included in the native query. The proxy data engine can transform a native result into a virtual result including the virtual entity-relation object. The native result can be a response to the native query and the native result can be received by the data provider application.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2011Publication date: August 2, 2012Inventors: Jan Simon, Jan Trcka, Pavel Chmelicek

Publication number: 20070178452Abstract: Disclosed is a method in which DNA sequences derived from microsome-associated mRNA sequences in a mixed sample or in an arrayed single sequence clone can be determined and classified without sequencing. The methods make use of information on the presence of carefully chosen target subsequences, typically of length from 4 to 8 base pairs, and preferably the length between target subsequences in a sample DNA sequence together with DNA sequence databases containing lists of sequences likely to be present in the sample to determine a sample sequence. The preferred method uses restriction endonucleases to recognize target subsequences and cut the sample sequence. Then carefully chosen recognition moieties are ligated to the cut fragments, the fragments amplified, and the experimental observation made. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is the preferred method of amplification.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2002Publication date: August 2, 2007Inventors: Pascal Bouffard, John Herrmann, Chunli Huang, Michael Jeffers, Jingfang Ju, Luca Rastelli, Juliette Shimkets, Jan Simons, Bruce Taillon

Patent number: 6838086Abstract: The invention discloses the use of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, for producing vaccines. The vaccines are particularly suitable for controlling cancer diseases. Surprisingly, it has been found that low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, can be used both for preparing mature dendritic cells and directly, together with antigens or peptides or carrier systems, as an adjuvant in vaccines. It is likewise possible to couple the low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, to an antigen, peptide or carrier system. The coupled system can then be advantageously employed as a vaccine, in particular for treating cancer diseases.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1999Date of Patent: January 4, 2005Assignee: Universitaetsklinikum FreiburgInventors: Jan Simon, Stefan Martin, Christian Termeer

Patent number: 6132995Abstract: A method for determining the activity of a nucleotide polymerizing enzyme in a sample, and use of the method for determining HIV 1 RT- and Herpes Simplex DNA-polymerase activity. The enzyme is captured by means of a nonoclonal antibody which is immobilized to a solid carrier and is capable of binding the enzyme without detrimentally effecting the enzyme activity. Contaminants and disturbing factors are removed and the nucleotide polymerization starts by the addition of a reaction solution containing a primer/template construct and nucleotides substrate, the reaction conditions being chosen such that they promote permanent association between antibody enzyme- and primer/template constructs. When necessary a nucleotide substrate, primer/template and reaction solution are washed away from the newly synthesized polymer, and the amount of nucleotide which as been incorporated into the polymer is determined, and the activity of the enzyme is determined with the guidance of this determination.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1998Date of Patent: October 17, 2000Assignee: Cavidi Tech ABInventors: Jan-Simon Gronowitz, Clas Kallander, Johan Lennerstrand
