  • Publication number: 20230189147
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein for wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) power saving (e.g., for idle mode). A WTRU may determine a time window associated with one or more paging indicators. The WTRU may monitor for a paging indicator (e.g., a first paging indicator) in the time window. The WTRU may monitor for another paging indicator (e.g., a second paging indicator) in the time window. The WTRU may receive system information blocks (SIBs) if a wake up indication for the WTRU is received in a single paging indication and the paging indicator is the first paging indicator. The WTRU may monitor for a paging PDCCH at a monitoring occasion of a PO in a paging frame if the second paging indicator is received and includes an indication for the WTRU to wake up.

  • Publication number: 20230180249
Abstract: The WTRU may monitor for a downlink transmission in a first monitoring occasion of a first search space. The first monitoring occasion of the first search space may be associated with a first monitoring occasion pattern. The WTRU may monitor for the downlink transmission in a second monitoring occasion of a second search space. The second monitoring occasion of the second search space may be associated with a second monitoring occasion pattern. The first search space and the second search space may belong to a search space subset. The WTRU may receive the downlink transmission in the second monitoring occasion of the second search space. The downlink transmission may include a skipping indication. Based on the WTRU receiving the skipping indication in the downlink transmission in the second monitoring occasion of the second search space, the WTRU may apply skipping to the second search space and the first search space.

  • Patent number: 11671233
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor a common physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space for a downlink control information (DCI) signal and a first radio network terminal identifier (RNTI). In an example, the DCI signal may include an uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) configuration indication. In a further example, the first RNTI may be associated with UL/DL configuration information. The WTRU may transmit UL data or receive DL data based on the received UL/DL configuration indication. In another example, the DCI may include a plurality of UL/DL configuration indications. In an additional example, a plurality of WTRUs may monitor the common PDCCH search space for the first RNTI. Also, the UL/DL configuration indication may indicate UL/DL configuration information on a symbol basis. Further, the WTRU may receive a second RNTI which is associated with the UL/DL configuration indication.

  • Patent number: 11638247
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first signal including a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS). The PSS and SSS may be received in a resource block of a cell and the resource block may have a first numerology. Further, the first numerology may have a first subcarrier spacing, while other resources of the cell at a same time as the resource block may have a second numerology with a different subcarrier spacing than the first numerology. In addition, the WTRU may determine synchronization based on the PSS and SSS. Also, the WTRU may receive a second signal in the cell, and the second signal may have the second numerology. Moreover, the WTRU may transmit user data. In a further example, the WTRU may search a frequency raster for the PSS and the SSS.

  • Publication number: 20230113596
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) is configured to determine a frequency location of a reduced frequency bandwidth within a full system frequency bandwidth for an uplink transmission. The reduced frequency bandwidth is based on a received MTC physical downlink control channel. The WTRU is configured to determine a frequency location of an uplink resource in a first subframe based on at least one of a subframe number of the first subframe, a transmission repetition number associated with the first subframe, or a coverage enhancement level of the WTRU. The WTRU is configured to send a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission in the uplink resource in the first subframe in a same frequency location in both slots of the first subframe. A format of the PUCCH transmission is limited to a subset of PUCCH formats available for a WTRU operating in the full system frequency bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11606751
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for addressing power savings signals in wireless communication. A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may monitor for an energy saving signal (ESS) while the WTRU is asleep (e.g., prior to a discontinuous reception (DRX) ON duration that includes one or more search spaces). The WTRU may measure the energy of the ESS. If the ESS is below a threshold, the WTRU fallback to a default operation or continue in a current operating mode (e.g., remain asleep to save power). If the ESS is above a threshold, the ESS may be received using a coverage enhancement (CE) level based on a parameter associated with a search space. The parameter may be the highest aggregation level of the one or more search spaces.

  • Patent number: 11606128
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems are provided for transmission of a CSI report. A WTRU may receive an aperiodic CSI reporting request on a PDCCH. The WTRU may determine a time gap between a last symbol of the PDCCH of which the aperiodic CSI reporting request is received and a first uplink symbol of a designated uplink channel for transmission of a corresponding aperiodic CSI report. The determination of the time gap may include consideration of a timing advance value. A determination may be made as to whether a time threshold is shorter than the determined time gap. If the determined time gap is not shorter than the time threshold, the WTRU may transmit the CSI report. If the determined time gap is shorter than the threshold, the WTRU may not transmit the CSI report.

  • Patent number: 11595953
Abstract: Transmit and/or receive beamforming may be applied to the control channel transmission/reception, e.g., in mmW access link system design. Techniques to identify candidate control channel beams and/or their location in the subframe structure may provide for efficient WTRU operation. A framework for beam formed control channel design may support varying capabilities of mBs and/or WTRUs, and/or may support time and/or spatial domain multiplexing of control channel beams. For a multi-beam system, modifications to reference signal design may discover, identify, measure, and/or decode a control channel beam. Techniques may mitigate inter-beam interference. WTRU monitoring may consider beam search space, perhaps in addition to time and/or frequency search space. Enhancements to downlink control channel may support scheduling narrow data beams. Scheduling techniques may achieve high resource utilization, e.g., perhaps when large bandwidths are available and/or WTRUs may be spatially distributed.
