  • Publication number: 20220178577
Abstract: Many import and export regulations require fumigation of goods, such as products or commodities, to ensure that non-native pests are not introduced. The fumigating process can involve placing the goods in a sealed containment system, and introducing the sealed good to a fumigant, such as methyl bromide gas, for a predetermined amount of time. After fumigation, regulations may require how to dispense the fumigant. The fumigant can be exhausted through fans, baffles, dampers, filters, and a chimney, as part of an emission system, in a controlled manner. The controlled manner can include combining the fumigant with ambient air and releasing or exhausting the combination over an amount of time, which mitigates pollution by the fumigant. The time-period is not specific, and instead is the time needed to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Patent number: 10636163
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing images of pests using a mobile device application are described. A mobile computing device may receive, via a graphical user interface (GUI), location information input corresponding to a location of a glueboard, an identification input of a pest type caught on the glueboard, and an image of the glueboard. The device may analyze white and dark areas of the image to determine at least one of: 1) total dark surface area of the glueboard and 2) number and size of multiple contiguous dark surface areas of the glueboard. The device may calculate a quantity of pests based on dark surface area and an average size of the pest. The device may output the quantity of pests to the GUI.

  • Patent number: 10597282
Abstract: A dispenser dispenses a consumable product from a container. The container is supported within a housing by a container holder. The container holder is vertically moveable within a movement range in the housing. A biasing structure biases the container holder upwardly. A sign is connected to move up and down with the container holder. An indicator associated with the sign is vertically fixed relative to the housing. When an amount of product remaining in the container reaches a low level, the biasing force of the biasing structure will lift the container holder, causing the indicator to be aligned with a portion of the sign that gives a visual cue to a user that the amount of product remaining is at a low level.

  • Patent number: 10549245
Abstract: An apparatus and method for creating and dispensing a solution formed of a solid product which is eroded or dissolved in a liquid, which may include methods for creating turbulent flow of the liquid. The apparatus includes an inlet portion for introducing the liquid into the dispenser system, a solution forming assembly, and an outlet portion for dispensing the solution. The solution forming assembly may include a support structure configured to support the solid product, and a reservoir coupled to the support structure, the reservoir configured to hold the liquid and allow flow of the liquid into and out of the reservoir, the reservoir including a base and one or more sidewall portions. The reservoir further including one or more liquid inlets located in the one or more sidewall portions configured to introduce liquid into the reservoir to contact the solid product and create the solution.

  • Patent number: 10335746
Abstract: A method and apparatus for obtaining a product chemistry from a product and a fluid is provided. A product is housed within a dispenser. A fluid is introduced through a manifold diffuse member having a plurality of ports. A cover is positioned adjacent the manifold diffuse member and includes a plurality of ports. The cover is able to be adjusted, for example, by rotating the cover, to align and un-align the manifold diffuse ports and the cover ports. This adjustment controls the flow characteristics of the fluid through the manifold diffuse member and cover to control the characteristics of the fluid in contact with the product. The adjustment of the cover to control the flow will provide a generally consistent concentration and erosion rate based upon known relationships between a characteristic of the fluid and the flow of the fluid in relation to the product.

  • Patent number: 9980626
Abstract: Dispensing techniques utilize existing fluid to dispense a solid block of chemical product concentrate. The solid chemical product concentrate may include, for example, detergents, disinfectants, sanitizers, rinse agents, or other cleaning agents. The dispenser monitors and controls the concentration of the chemical product in a use solution. When the concentration of the use solution falls outside of a target range, the dispenser routes existing fluid from within the system to the dispenser, where it interacts with and dispense a solid chemical product concentrate, thus raising the concentration of the chemical product in the use solution. In a dishmachine application, the existing fluid may include post wash or rinse fluid from the dishmachine, or may include use solution from a sump, tank, or other use solution storage container.

  • Patent number: 9475017
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for dispensing an off-gassing liquid product mixed with a diluting product are provided. A liquid product or product solution is moved through an unprimed product line and towards a dispenser. The liquid product is combined with the diluting product to create a solution. The solution is dispensed. The product line is cleared of unused liquid product to unprime the product line after the dispensement of the solution. • Patent number: 9295954
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for dispensing an off-gassing liquid product mixed with a diluting product are provided. A liquid product or product solution is moved through a primed product line and towards a dispenser. The liquid product is combined with the diluting product to create a solution. The solution is dispensed. Prevention of displacement of the product line is accomplished by redirecting at least a portion of the unused liquid product in the product line to a displacement system operatively attached to the product line and including a secondary container. The stored product may be used with the next dispensement of solution, or emptied in a sanitary manner.
