Patent number: 10402420Abstract: Methods and apparatus are presented for extracting, transforming, and loading data from one database to another database. For example, an extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) component may access an operational log of a given database in order to detect an update to the database. Upon detecting the update, the ETL component may extract a subset of data from the operational log, where the extraction of the subset of data is based on one or more rules. Ones the subset of data has been extracted, the ETL component may transform the extracted subset of data from the operational log into a format for another, target database, where the data format for the other, target database is different from a data format for the given, source database. The ETL component may then load the subset of data transformed into the data format for the other, target database into the target database.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2015Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Nicholas J. Brown, David L. Cardon, Jason A. Carter

Patent number: 10332317Abstract: The present disclosure provides approaches to facilitating virtual reality and cross-device experiences. In some implementations, an environmental snapshot is captured which includes an image of a virtual reality (VR) environment presented on a VR device and corresponding depth information of the VR environment. The image of the environmental snapshot is presented on a different device than the VR device. A user modification to content associated with the presented image is translated into the environmental snapshot based on the depth information. The environmental snapshot comprising the user modification is translated into the VR environment. The VR environment comprising the translated user modification is presented. The environmental snapshot may correspond to a personal space of a user and may be accessed by another user through a social networking interface or other user networking interface to cause the presentation of the image.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2017Date of Patent: June 25, 2019Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Scott Anderson Nagy, Jason Carter, Anatolie Gavriliuc, Daniel L. Publication number: 20180354692Abstract: A packaging shuttle secures a pair of shoes in a manner suitable for insertion into a cylindrical container. The packaging shuttle secures the shoes in a stacked configuration such that heel portions of the shoes are supported at the lower and upper ends of the shuttle respectively, and the toe portions of the shoes are supported by a toe-supporting structure at a mid-portion of the packaging shuttle. Removable spacers may be inserted into the packaging shuttle adjacent to the lower and upper ends of the shuttle to enable the packaging shuttle to securely accommodate different size shoes using the same packaging shuttle and cylindrical container.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2018Publication date: December 13, 2018Inventor: Jason Carter Mayden

Patent number: 10142363Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for monitoring and addressing events based on triplet metric analysis. In some embodiments, the system transmits control signals to cause a vendor database system to continuously monitor a vendor database for a new data input and, in response to identifying the new data input, automatically transmits the new data input back to the system. From the new data input, the system may identify actors, actor values, means, means values, assets, and asset values associated with certain events. The system may then determine a model based on the new data input and transmit control signals configured to cause a computing device system associated with a user to display a three-dimensional representation of the model.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2016Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventor: Lonnie Jason Carter

Publication number: 20180113597Abstract: Various methods and systems, for implementing three-dimensional resource integration, are provided. 3D resource integration includes integration of 3D resources into different types of functionality, such as, operating system, file explorer, application and augmented reality functionality. In operation, an indication to perform an operation with a 3D object is received. One or more 3D resource controls, associated with the operation, are accessed. The 3D resource control is a defined set of instructions on how to integrate 3D resources with 3D objects for generating 3D-based graphical interfaces associated with application features and operating system features. An input based on one or more control elements of the one or more 3D resource controls is received. The input includes the one or more control elements that operate to generate a 3D-based graphical interface for the operation. Based on receiving the input, the operation is executed with the 3D object and the 3D-based graphical interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2017Publication date: April 26, 2018Inventors: Enrico William GULD, Jason A. Patent number: 9951965Abstract: A method for heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is described. In one embodiment, the method includes measuring a temperature of a first room of a building via a first thermometer placed in the first room and measuring a temperature of a second room of the building via a second thermometer placed in the second room and receiving the temperature of the first room via a first data communication device communicatively coupled to a first HVAC register in the first room and receiving the temperature of the second room via a second data communication device communicatively coupled to a second HVAC register in the second room. In some cases, the first data communication device is configured to communicate data between the first thermometer and a central automation controller and the second data communication device is configured to communicate data between the second thermometer and the central automation controller.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2014Date of Patent: April 24, 2018Assignee: Vivint, Inc.Inventors: Brian Call, Nicholas Brown, Jason Carter, Darren Noble, Brandon Hatch, Brandon Bunker

Publication number: 20160328756Abstract: Embodiments involve managing online content provided via data networks. For example, the computing system causes a web server to include, during a first time period and in a search results list generated by a search engine, an online advertisement having a webpage link for purchasing a product or service. The computing system determines, subsequent to the first time period, that the product or service's availability has been reduced and that an alternative product or service has a greater availability. The computing system identifies a modification for the online advertisement based on the reduced availability. The modification involves replacing the webpage link with an alternative webpage link for purchasing the alternative product or service. The computing system causes the web server to implement the modification by including, during a second time period and in a second search results list from the search engine, the online advertisement with the alternative webpage link.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2016Publication date: November 10, 2016Inventors: Jason A.
