  • Publication number: 20070197202
Abstract: A system and method for managing the deleting and reloading of software application components on a wireless device, such as a cellular telephone, personal digital assistant, pager, or other computer platform. The wireless device has one or more resident executable software applications wherein each application has one or more application components and application-associated data, such as software licenses and user-specific data. The wireless device selectively deletes one or more application components of the resident software applications without loss of the application-associated data to clear resources on the wireless device, and selectively prompts a backup device coupled to a wireless network to transmit deleted application components that need to be reinstalled on the wireless device to execute the application.

  • Publication number: 20070198633
Abstract: A novel system and method for delivering personal computer (PC) based content through a server based relay system using really simple syndication (RSS). The mechanism of the present invention is operative to stream any type of PC content such as directories, files, video, audio, etc. A multimedia server (MMS) resides on the user's source computer (the “server”) and a multimedia client (MMC) resides on the destination or target computing device (the “client”). The MMS converts (i.e. translates or renders) files and resources to be delivered as an RSS document which can be further “stylized” through HTML style sheets (like XSTL) and delivered to anything capable of consuming web pages, such as an ordinary Internet browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer or a specialized reader (i.e. the MMC). The invention provides a user with complete access to the content on their PC through the MMS content server that resides on their source PC.

  • Publication number: 20070193607
Abstract: In methods and apparatus for cleaning a wafer, a cleaning liquid is sprayed or jetted in a direction generally tangent to the circular edge of a spinning wafer. This enhances removal of contaminants from areas near the edge. Re-deposition of contaminant pieces or particles back onto the wafer is reduced because the direction of the spray carries the contaminant off of the wafer. Insoluble contaminant films, such as post etch residue, may be removed via one or more of the pressure of the cleaning liquid, the effects of higher process temperatures from heating the cleaning liquid, and by the chemical composition of the cleaning liquid.
