Abstract: A delivery portal, which may be at a loading dock, includes a sensor configured to detect a pallet, platform or stack of goods as it passes through the portal. A computer is programmed to receive information from the sensor and to identify the pallet based upon the information. The computer is further programmed to compare the identified pallet to a database to determine if the identified pallet should be passing through the portal. For example, the computer determines whether the pallet is being loaded onto the wrong truck or onto the right truck but in the wrong sequence. The sensor for detecting the pallet may be an RFID sensor reading an RFID tag on the pallets. The portal may be a loading dock. The database may indicate a sequence for loading a plurality of pallets including the identified pallet onto a truck at the loading dock.

Abstract: A device management server computer (“server”) has a media-only interface to a device and transmits a device identifier to the device over the interface, the device identifier having embedded network information sufficient to enable the device to establish a separate connection to the server over a communication link such as a wireless network. An application on the device retrieves the device identifier, extracts the network information, and uses the network information to establish the separate connection over the communication link. The device identifier can be part of an EDID provided over an HDMI interface. Instructions transmitted over the separate connection can be used to control transmission of media over the media-only interface.

Pathogenic bacteria exposed to the compound of Formula I do not develop resistance to these compounds even after prolonged exposure. Abstract: A service verification system includes at least one collection truck including a hopper for receiving material and at least one camera positioned and oriented to image a container to be emptied into the hopper. At least one server receives images from the at least one camera. The collection truck may include an RFID reader configured to read RFID tags on containers to be emptied into the hopper. The server receives identification information from the RFID reader associated with the images from the camera. The images may be triggered upon the reading of the RFID tag, or by activation of a lift arm lifting the container, or manually by a driver.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for index maintenance in a computer system comprising a plurality of nodes, a database, and an index to the database. In one embodiment, the method comprises, for a defined period of time, building a snapshot of selected change requests received by the nodes to change the database. After this defined period of time, a selection is made, based on specified criteria, whether to rebuild a new index to the database, or to add entries to a current index. When the selection is to rebuild a new index, the new index is rebuilt based on data in the database and in the change requests in the snapshot. When the selection is to add entries to a current index, entries are added to the current index based on data in the database and in the change requests in the snapshot.
