Abstract: A motor includes a first layer including a first circular conductive winding having a first center portion and mounted to a first plurality of dowel rods connected to the first center portion of the first winding, a second layer including a center-piece element, a spindle, and an outside drive element, the outside drive element including at least one magnet, and a third layer including a second circular conductive winding having a second center portion and mounted to a second plurality of dowel rods connected to the second center portion of the second winding.

Abstract: An apparatus for tracking the movement of a plurality of products. The apparatus includes a shelf with a plurality of products positioned thereon. The shelf has a first end with an optical sensor positioned thereabout. A controller is functionally connected to the optical sensor so as to track the removal of one of the products from the first end of the shelf and to track the insertion of one of the products into the first end of the shelf.

The shelf has a fit end with an optical sensor positioned thereabout. The optical sensor tracks the movement of the products. A guard is positioned about the first end of the shelf adjacent to the optical sensor so as to prevent exterior light from interfering with the optical sensor.

Abstract: A cooler has a housing with a plurality of rotatable shelves. The shelves can move from an interior portion of the housing to an exposed exterior portion adjacent a discharge port of the cooler. The cooler is doorless so that access and viewing of the products in the port are unobstructed. An interior storage area is provided in the cooler for replenishment of removed products. An escapement mechanism can automatically load products from the storage area to empty slots on the periphery of the rotating shelf. Efficient cooling of the products is obtained. The shelves of the cooler can be rotated at the same or different speeds and/or directions. This merchandising cooler will not blend in with its surrounding environment to thereby attract a consumer's attention.
