  • Publication number: 20210056188
Abstract: A mobile computing device can include a processing unit, wireless communication interfaces, and a computer-readable memory including instructions executable by the processing unit to cause the device to perform various operations. The device may receive a request to access an application includes application pages that may be configured to provide functional features of the application, and in response to receiving the request, may present an authentication user interface (UI) and may detect a gesture from a user by the UI. The device may transmit the gesture to an authentication server and may receive a confirmation from the server that the user has been successfully authenticated. The device may determine a specific application page to present to the user based on the gesture by accessing mappings between the application pages and corresponding gestures. The specific application page, providing functional features, can be presented to the user by the device.

  • Publication number: 20200082108
Abstract: A relative risk can be determined using an originating Internet Protocol (IP) address as an identifying factor for purposes of authenticating a user. The originating IP address can be used as an identifying factor for a particular user account to determine potentially fraudulent activity and reduce the risk of fraud. This additional identifying factor can be used as a part of an overall authentication platform to help screen fraud attempts and to authenticate valid and non-fraudulent users. Using certain aspects can distinguish whether originating IP addresses are public or private. Some examples can track and match originating IP addresses to user accounts and also can keep track of recently active sessions for each IP address.

  • Patent number: 10545665
Abstract: A memory system includes a memory in which stored data is periodically rewritten by a refresh command, and a memory controller. The memory has an input/output (“I/O”) terminal, and the memory controller is communicatively coupled by a channel to the I/O terminal. The memory transmits a plurality of commands over the channel to the memory. The memory controller estimates a first total energy consumed based on the plurality of commands during a first sampling period, determines a temperature of the memory based on the first total energy consumed in the first sampling period, determines a first refresh cycle rate corresponding to the first temperature of the memory and transmits a refresh command to the memory based on the first refresh cycle rate.

  • Patent number: 10536466
Abstract: A network interface device can (i) detect electronic communications from a telecommunications network; (ii) extract an access request for protected data; and (iii) extract browser information about a browser on a user device used by a user to initiate the access request. The access request can include a network address of a device from which the electronic communications were transmitted. The browser information can indicate a time zone associated with the browser. The network address and the browser information can be independent of data about the user and of data transmitted from the network interface device. The network address and stored data about network addresses can be used to determine a time zone for the device. A result of comparing the time zones can be used to determine a level of authentication to require before allowing the protected data to be transmitted to the user device.

  • Patent number: 10431323
Abstract: A memory system includes a calibration engine, a memory, and a memory controller coupled to the memory by a channel used to transmit a plurality of commands from the memory controller to the memory. The memory controller estimates a total energy consumed based on the first plurality of commands in a first sampling period and determines a first temperature change of the memory based on the first total energy consumed. The memory controller transmits an impedance calibration command to the calibration engine if the first temperature change of the memory exceeds a first threshold. The calibration engine changes an impedance of an I/O terminal of the memory based on the calibration command.
