Patent number: 11535254Abstract: A vehicle includes a powertrain having an electric machine and a controller. The controller is programmed to, responsive to an accelerator pedal position exceeding a first threshold for a predetermined time period or a lateral acceleration of the vehicle being greater than a second threshold, transition the powertrain from a nominal driving mode to a performance driving mode. The controller is also programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the nominal mode, maintain a power output of the electric machine at a driver demanded power defined by the accelerator pedal position. The controller is further programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the performance driving mode, reduce a power output of the electric machine to less than the driver demanded power.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2019Date of Patent: December 27, 2022Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Allen Magolan, Zachary John Sinisi, Francis Thomas Connolly, Paul Stephen Bryan, Minku Lee, Jason Wroblewski

Patent number: 11526240Abstract: An input device such as a stylus for providing input to a touch-sensitive surface with reduced sensitivity to leakage current variations over temperature is disclosed. A passive stylus may include one or more diodes in parallel with one or more bleed resistors. The non-linear load of the diode and resistor network can be operative to provide a stylus electric field in response to a stimulation signal from an electronic device that can be capacitively coupled to, and sensed by, the electronic device. The signal sensed by the electronic device can be a function of the total leakage current, which can vary greatly as a function of temperature and frequency. In order to improve performance, the diode and resistor network, including the bleed resistor(s) and diodes within that network, can be selected and/or designed to provide a reduced variation in the leakage current and more accurate stylus detection.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2021Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Daniel Jacob Benjamin Bechstein, Ullas Chandra Sekhar Pazhayaveetil, Jason Chueh-Ren Hu, Robert Ubo Liu, Rexford J. Patent number: 11417644Abstract: Examples of integrated semiconductor devices are described. In one example, an integrated device includes first and second transistors formed on a substrate, where the transistors share a terminal metal feature to reduce a size of the integrated device. The terminal metal feature can include a shared source electrode metalization, for example, although other electrode metalizations can be shared. In other aspects, a first width of a gate of the first transistor can be greater than a second width of a gate of the second transistor, and the shared metalization can taper from the first width to the second width. The integrated device can also include a metal ground plane on a backside of the substrate, and the terminal metal feature can also include an in-source via for the shared source electrode metalization. The in-source via can electrically couple the shared source electrode metalization to the metal ground plane.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2020Date of Patent: August 16, 2022Assignee: MACOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS HOLDINGS, INC.Inventors: Shamit Som, John Stephen Atherton, Wayne Mack Struble, Jason Matthew Barrett, Nishant R Yamujala
