Abstract: Apparatuses and methods providing a ballast system for adjusting the center of gravity of a standardized front opening wafer container. Various embodiments of the disclosure present ballast systems that are low profile, do not require modifications to the shell of the wafer container, and can be retrofit to existing wafer carriers. In some embodiments, these capabilities are accomplished by a ballast that mounts to a kinematic coupling plate of the wafer container. In one embodiment, the ballasting can also provide sufficient counter force to the lifting forces associated with purging of the wafer container, thereby preventing “lift off” of the wafer container during purging operations. The ballasts can be removed for shipping of the wafer container, thereby decreasing shipping costs.

Abstract: A gaming machine includes an input device and a processor coupled to the input device. The input device is configured to receive a game play event from a player. The processor is programmed to determine whether a jackpot trigger condition is satisfied based at least in part on the game play event. The jackpot trigger condition includes a target quantity of games played, a target set of game tokens, a target pattern of game symbols, and/or a target pattern of game play outcomes. The processor is further programmed to award a jackpot credit to one or more players when the jackpot trigger condition is satisfied.

Abstract: A system and method for performing a financial transaction may include processing a purchase transaction for products for purchase by a customer to determine a transaction amount. A communication with a mobile device of the customer may include communicating a store identifier, POS identifier, and the transaction amount. In response to receiving an approval number for the purchase transaction from a financial institution of the customer, completing the purchase transaction for the purchase of the products by the customer.

Abstract: An improved wafer support mechanism in a wafer container useful for carrying a plurality of axially aligned thin mostly circular wafer substrates. The container includes a cassette that has a plurality of adjacently disposed teeth for receiving the substrates, wherein each rib member is continuous from the cassette open top to the cassette open bottom, a removable top cover portion, a removable bottom cover portion, a cushion assembly removably attached to the container top cover, and another cushion assembly removably located in the container bottom cover and held in place by the weight of the wafer cassette. The top cushions are formed of individual segments having an extended lead-in feature at the end of each segment, spring sections in each segment and each segment has a V-shaped cross section to receive the wafer edge. The top and bottom cushions are installed in the top and bottom container covers, respectively, and extend the wafer support to approximately the entire circumference of each wafer.

Abstract: A system and method for performing a financial transaction may include processing a purchase transaction for products for purchase by a customer to determine a transaction amount. A communication with a mobile device of the customer may include communicating a store identifier, POS identifier, and the transaction amount. Abstract: An extensibility model is used to provide active and interactive functionality in communication items, but the embodiments are not so limited. A computer system of an embodiment includes components configured to identify one or more activation triggers that operate to activate gadget code using an isolated code execution environment as part of injecting content into an email communication. A method of one embodiment provides an extensibility framework for using defined gadget triggers and associated gadget functionality as part of automatically injecting content inline with a mail message.

Abstract: A system for verifying resource propagations in real-time typically includes a classical computer apparatus and a quantum optimizer in communication with the classical computer apparatus. The quantum optimizer is configured to analyze resource propagation information related to previous resource propagations and confirmed attacks to generate a model for verifying resource propagations or mitigating potential attacks. When the classical computer apparatus receives indication of a present resource propagation, the classical computer apparatus transfers attributes of the present resource propagation to the quantum optimizer, which analyzes the resource propagation using the model to determine whether the resource propagation involves a potential attack. Based on the indication from the quantum optimizer, the classical computer apparatus attempts to mitigate the potential attack or allows the resource propagation to proceed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software disclosed herein facilitate draft reminders. In at least one implementation, a primary view of an information management application is rendered. In various scenarios the primary view may include primary items, such as emails, events, tasks, or other types of items. When a reminder view is invoked, draft items are identified to include in the reminder view. The reminder view is then rendered in an overlaid manner with respect to the primary view and includes the draft items.

Abstract: An integrated building monitoring system including a conductive grid having a plurality of rows, where each row has a plurality of interwoven positive and negative electrodes forming a hexagon pattern, and the conductive grid is integrated within a wall. The system also includes a plurality of signal nodes, where a signal node is coupled to a respective row and each of the rows is insulated from one another. A controller is coupled to the plurality of signal nodes and has a current sensing circuit. In addition, the current sensing circuit is configured to measure the current for each of the rows of the conductive grid to sense when an electrical signal from a row of the conductive grid indicates that moisture is present within the wall when a voltage is applied.

Abstract: A microfluidic delivery device and method of dispensing a fluid composition therefrom is provided. The microfluidic delivery device includes a housing electrically connectable with a power source; a cartridge releasably connectable with the housing; and a fan connected with the housing. The cartridge has a reservoir for containing a fluid composition and microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir. The die is configured such that substantially all of the fluid composition exits the microfluidic die in a horizontal direction or downward direction relative to horizontal. The fan is configured to generate air flow that converges with and redirects the fluid composition dispensed from the microfluidic die in an upward direction relative to horizontal.

Abstract: A compose form for drafting a message is presented inline within a window along with a message list. For example, instead of overlaying the message application's user interface (UI) with a new window for composing a message, the compose form is displayed within a portion of the window reserved for viewing content of messages. While composing the message using the compose form, the rest of the message application's UI remains visible and accessible to the user. For example, the user may navigate to another folder and/or move to another message/conversation by interacting with the tree view/message list view. A draft of the message being composed may be automatically saved when the user navigates away from the compose form (e.g. by selecting another conversation in the list view).

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for directing a customer to one of a plurality of checkout lanes in a retail store. The system includes a checkout lane selection module that is in communication with each of the plurality of checkout lanes. The checkout lane selection module is part of a computing device, such as a server, that may be resident in the retail store, or remote from the retail store. The checkout lane selection module receives lane status information from each of the plurality of checkout lanes. And the checkout lane selection module receives customer information from a customer profile and from the customer's shopping basket. The checkout lane selection module provides the customer a preferred lane selection, and/or details about each checkout lane so that the customer can make an informed choice about which checkout lane to use.

Abstract: Draft management for new electronic communication messages in a mailbox folder is provided. When a user selects to create a new email message, a draft of the new message may appear in a list view of one or more of the user's mailbox folders. The list view may display aggregated contents from both a mailbox folder and the drafts folder. Drafts may be identified as draft messages so that it may be easy for the user to distinguish between draft messages and other email messages. When a draft is deleted or when a draft is sent, it may be removed from the list view. Additionally, selection controls may be provided in the user interface to sort email items by groupings. Selection of a drafts selection control may cause a display of the draft items in the user's email account.

Abstract: A system that includes a first input/output (I/O) device configured to generate a code based at least in part on a unique machine identifier of the first I/O device, and a second I/O device communicatively coupled to the first I/O device via a network. The second I/O device is configured to read the code from a tangible medium, parse the code to determine the machine identifier, transmit a validation request directly to the first I/O device via the network, and receive a response message directly from the first I/O device, wherein the response message indicates a number of credits available to a user at the second I/O device.
