  • Publication number: 20140067516
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of methods and systems of incentivized advertising are presented. A content identifier identifying a digital content item, such as a song, is displayed on a user computing device. The digital content item is typically of the type available for a purchase price by the general public. A selection icon is provided in visual association with the content identifier. If the icon is selected by the user, an advertisement media item, such as a video advertisement, is presented on the user computing device. If the advertisement media item is presented for at least a requisite ad impression period, the digital content item is imparted to the user for free. Follow-up ad engagement views are typically presented to the user with a button to redeem the earned digital content item. Administrator and server elements are configured to facilitate performance of the method, and to optimize efficient use of advertiser's budget.

  • Publication number: 20130328873
Abstract: A method for enhanced forward rendering is disclosed which includes a depth pre-pass, light culling and a final shading. The depth pre-pass minimizes the cost of final shading by avoiding high pixel overdraw. The light culling stage calculates a list of light indices overlapping a pixel. The light indices are calculated on a per-tile basis, where the screen has been split into units of tiles. The final shading evaluates materials using information stored for each light. The forward rendering method may be executed on a processor, such as a single graphics processing unit (GPU) for example.

  • Patent number: 8345063
Abstract: Embodiments of a filtering method and apparatus for anti-aliasing as described herein take advantage of improved existing hardware by using as input the data stored in the multisampling anti-aliasing (MSAA) buffers after rendering. The standard hardware box-filter is then replaced with a more intelligent resolve implemented using shader programs. Embodiments find scene edges using existing samples generated by Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) hardware. Using samples from a footprint larger than a single pixel, a gradient is calculated matching the direction of an edge. A non-linear filter over contributing samples in the direction of the gradient gives the final result.

  • Patent number: 8345756
Abstract: Embodiments of a method and system for intra-prediction in decoding video data are described herein. In various embodiments, a high-compression-ratio codec (such as H.264) is part of the encoding scheme for the video data. Embodiments pre-process control maps that were generated from encoded video data, and generating intermediate control maps comprising information regarding decoding the video data. The control maps indicate which units of video data in a frame are to be processed using an intra-prediction operation. In an embodiment, intra-prediction is performed on a frame basis such that intra-prediction is performed on an entire frame at one time. In other embodiments, processing of different frames is interleaved. Embodiments increase the efficiency of the intra-prediction such as to allow decoding of high-compression-ratio encoded video data on personal computers or comparable equipment without special, additional decoding hardware.

  • Patent number: 8079996
Abstract: A cloth diaper the size of which is adjustable is mainly made up with a surface layer cloth and a liner layer cloth and is provided with a waistline section. The cloth diaper further includes an adjusting unit provided with two buckling parts, and an adjusting surface opposite to the buckling parts. Thus, to adjust the cloth diaper to a determined size, only each of the buckling parts of the adjusting unit is buckled and fixed onto the adjusting surface to form a cloth diaper the size of which is properly adjustable. Thus, following the child and infant's figure, the cloth diaper may be adjusted randomly.

  • Publication number: 20100305534
Abstract: A reusable one-side absorption cushion mainly includes an absorption layer made of a woven fiber, and a waterproof layer made of a waterproof material for being adhered to one side of the absorption layer. By attaching the reusable one-side absorption cushion to a conventional diaper, the urine of a baby can be absorbed by the absorption layer and stopped by the waterproof layer. If the urine doesn't permeate the circumference of the reusable one-side absorption cushion, it is only necessary to replace the reusable one-side absorption cushion with a new one, leaving the conventional diaper to be continuously uses. And, the used reusable one-side absorption cushion can be reused after being cleaned up thoroughly, so as to consume less conventional diapers to achieve purposes of energy saving and waste reduction.

  • Publication number: 20090289018
Abstract: A modular wine rack has multiple panel assemblies, multiple linear connectors and multiple connecting tubes. Each panel assembly is connected to adjacent panel assemblies and has a front panel and a rear panel. The linear connectors are mounted respectively between each two adjacent panel assemblies to connect the adjacent panel assemblies. Each two adjacent linear connectors are attached securely to each other. Each linear connector has a body, a first projection, a second projection and two branches. The first and second projections are formed on an abutting surface of the body and misalign with each other. The branches are formed respectively on two ends of the body. The connecting tubes are mounted respectively between the front and rear panels of each panel assemblies to connect the front and rear panels. Therefore, the modular wine rack is kept from collapsing easily by the linear connectors.

  • Patent number: 7600057
Abstract: A method and system for configurable drain for two-way handshake system is provided and may comprise coupling a transmitting device to a drain bucket, and draining unwanted data at the transmitting device. The drain bucket may be configurably coupled to the transmitting device via a switch, where the switch may be a crossbar switch. The drain bucket may receive at least one transmitter handshake signal from at least one transmitting device. The drain bucket may transmit at least one receiver handshake signal to the at least one transmitting device. The receiver handshake signal may be asserted at least as long as the received transmitter handshake signal is asserted. The receiver handshake signal may be based on the received transmitter handshake signal. For example, the received transmitter handshake signal may be looped back by the receiver as the receiver handshake signal.

  • Patent number: 7453761
Abstract: Various aspects of the low cost line buffer system allow a reduction in circuitry versus conventional approaches to line buffer design. A plurality of line buffers such that the output of one line buffer in the plurality of line buffers may be coupled to an input of a succeeding line buffer in the plurality of line buffers.
