  • Patent number: 11099629
Abstract: An information handling system (IHS) includes a source load switch connected to a power management circuit, and a port for connection of a device. The IHS detects attachment of the device to the port, and determines whether the device is a current sink. When the device is a current sink, the IHS sets the peak processor power level to a reduced level, determines detachment of the device, and in response to determining detachment of the device, restores a maximum peak processor power level. When the device is not a current sink, the HIS starts charging, sets a dynamic peak processor power level to an AC+DC setting, determines detachment of the device, and in response to determining detachment of the device, sets the peak processor power level to a DC-only setting.

  • Publication number: 20120008251
Abstract: A film capacitor comprising (1) of electric conduction electrodes and (2) of semi-crystalline polymeric dielectric film(s), the thickness of which ranges from 1 micron to 80 micron, made by a melt-stretching extrusion process through a die (circular die or flat die) with a drawdown ratio of 30 or higher (the ratio of die gap to the film thickness) at die temperatures higher than the melting point of said semi-crystalline polymer(s). The semi-crystalline polymeric dielectric films made by such melt-stretching extrusion process show a significantly low shrinkage at high temperatures until they are melted. The capacitor comprising such low shrinkage film dielectrics can be used at a much higher temperature than comprising conventional biaxially oriented film dielectrics made of the same plastic materials.

  • Patent number: 6721368
Abstract: Transmitter architectures for a communications system having improved performance over conventional transmitter architectures. The improvements include a combination of the following: faster response time for the control signals, improved linearity, reduced interference, reduced power consumption, lower circuit complexity, and lower costs. For a cellular application, these improvements can lead to increased system capacity, smaller telephone size, increased talk and standby times, and greater acceptance of the product. Circuitry is provided to speed up the response time of a control signal. The control loop for various elements in the transmit signal path are integrated. A gain control mechanism allows for accurate adjustment of the output transmit power level. Control mechanisms are provided to power down the power amplifier, or the entire transmit signal path, when not needed.

  • Patent number: 6078443
Abstract: A rotary disk for an image-changing light device includes a metal disk body adapted to be disposed in the light device. The disk body is formed by two disk halves coupled detachably with each other, and a plurality of colored lenses. Each of the disk halves is pressed to form a circle of angularly spaced recess units and is punched to form a circle of openings through the disk half. Each of the recess units is defined by a bottom wall unit through a portion of which a corresponding one of the openings is formed so that the light beam emitted from a light emitting unit of the light device can pass through the openings when the disk rotates. Each of the lenses is clamped between the bottom wall units of the disk halves in such a manner that a portion of the lens is fitted within a corresponding one of the recess units of one of the disk halves while another portion of the lens is fitted within a corresponding one of the recess units of the other one of the disk halves.

  • Patent number: 5183411
Abstract: A coaxial cable includes a coaxial wire having a central conductor, an outer conductor, an inner insulating layer between said central and outer conductors and an outer insulating layer covering said outer conductor. A hollow metal tube has an inner wall, a first end and a second end which is restricted and press-formed to possess a polygonal wall surface tightly receiving the outer conductor of the coaxial wire when the latter is inserted into the metal tube. The metal tube further has a stop member adjacent to the first end. A plug member is inserted into the first end of the hollow metal tube where the stop member limits the movement of the plug member in the metal tube. The first end of the metal tube is in electrical contact with an annular electric conducting wall of the plug member, and a central electric conducting blade axially extends into the metal tube and electrically contacts the central conductor of the coaxial wire.
