  • Publication number: 20250148220
Abstract: Example solutions for processing LLM prompts include creating a first large language model (LLM) prompt based on an input LLM prompt. The first LLM prompt represents a first step toward generating a solution to the input LLM prompt. The first LLM prompt is submitted to an LLM as a first sub-query, thereby resulting in the generation of a first LLM output. A second LLM prompt is generated based on the input LLM prompt. The second LLM prompt represents a second step toward generating the solution. The second LLM prompt includes the first LLM output. The second LLM prompt is submitted to the LLM as a second sub-query, thereby resulting in the generation of a second LLM output. The second LLM output represents the solution to the input LLM prompt in response to the input LLM prompt.

  • Publication number: 20250113996
Abstract: A method implemented in an ophthalmic laser system to perform iris registration based on two iris images taken with the patient at upright and supine positions, respectively. For each iris image, the iris region is transformed into a rectangular rubbersheet, with the radial and angular coordinates of the iris image respectively mapped to vertical and horizontal coordinates of the rubbersheet. A horizontal one-dimensional log-Gabor transform is applied to the rubbersheet line-by-line. The transformed rubbersheet is binarized line-by-line. The two binary rubbersheets are compared at a series of relative horizontal shifts to determine the horizontal shift value that produces the lowest Hamming distance between the two binary rubbersheets, and the cyclotorsion rotation of the eye between the upright and supine positions is calculated accordingly.

  • Patent number: 12220352
Abstract: A fiducial is generated on an internal anatomical structure of the eye of a patient with a surgical laser. A toric artificial intraocular lens (IOL) is positioned so that a marker of the toric IOL is in a predetermined positional relationship relative to the fiducial. This positioning aligns the toric IOL with the astigmatic or other axis of the eye. The toric IOL is then implanted in the eye of the patient with high accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20240427031
Abstract: A device for the detection of gamma rays to be used primarily in a PET scanner is based on a scintillator heterostructure combining the high stopping power of scintillators commonly used in PET scanners (such as L(Y)SO, BGO, etc.) and fast scintillators based on polymers loaded with fast emitting dyes or nanocrystals, or thin layers of nanocrystals or multiple quantum well structures. While the metascintillator block is read out in the monolithic or semi-monolithic arrangement, the fast scintillator is segmented so that it is read out by less photodetectors. The particular arrangement of this detector module allows combining all the important features of a high-performance Time-of-Flight PET (TOFPET) detector module, i.e. a high photoelectric detection efficiency for the gamma rays, a precise 3D information (including the depth of interaction DOI) of the gamma ray conversion in the module, good energy resolution and superior timing resolution.

  • Publication number: 20240299217
Abstract: A tissue interface, suitable for use in an abdominal cavity, may comprise a liquid-impermeable layer having manifolding bubbles on at least a first surface. In some embodiments, a pattern of break-lines, without bubbles, may separate the plurality of bubbles into zones. For example, each break-line may be wider than the gap spacing between bubbles within adjacent zones on either side of the break-line. In some embodiments, the configuration of the pattern of break-lines may impact fluid flow rate across the liquid-impermeable layer during negative-pressure therapy. Users may be able to select a tissue interface with a break-line pattern corresponding to a desired fluid flow rate.

  • Patent number: 12078766
Abstract: A device for the detection of gamma rays presents a high resolution in the three-dimensional position of the impact of the gamma ray within one or more scintillation crystal blocks coupled to an array of photosensors, for the determination of the impact energy of said gamma ray, the determination of the instant in time when said impact occurred, the interaction depth and the determination of the time-of-flight. Advantageously, in said device, the scintillation crystal detection blocks are optically isolated, in such a way that the scintillation light can only exit said blocks via the output region; and the scintillation crystal detection blocks and the array of photosensors are disposed in direct optical coupling.

  • Publication number: 20240281263
Abstract: A method for decentralized management of edge computing nodes, where the user equipment assumes direct control of the edge nodes through an integrated edge manager module, which has means for seamlessly onboarding edge applications onto edge computing nodes, eliminating the need for a central management entity in the network. The user equipment further includes a context storage module to store applications and support the migration of their context into another edge computing node. The edge manager module of the user equipment can request the application context data of edge applications running in an edge computing node, store context data, onboard the edge application configurations in other edge computing nodes, instantiate the edge applications, and configure the application context data into the destination edge computing node, even in scenarios without direct connectivity between edge nodes.

  • Patent number: 12053416
Abstract: Systems and methods automatically locate optical surfaces of an eye and automatically generate surface models of the optical surfaces. A method includes OCT scanning of an eye. Returning portions of a sample beam are processed to locate a point on the optical surface and first locations on the optical surface within a first radial distance of the point. A first surface model of the optical surface is generated based on the location of the point and the first locations. Returning portions of the sample beam are processed so as to detect second locations on the optical surface beyond the first radial distance and within a second radial distance from the point. A second surface model of the optical surface is generated based on the location of the point on the optical surface and the first and second locations on the optical surface.
