Abstract: An appliance includes a base unit having a sidewall surrounding an interior cavity. A shaft assembly includes a first portion extending outwardly from the sidewall of the base unit. The shaft assembly further includes a second portion positioned within the interior cavity. A weighted member is operably coupled to the second portion of the shaft assembly for rotation therewith. The weighted member outwardly extends from the shaft assembly. A knob is positioned on the first portion of the shaft assembly for rotation therewith. The weighted member increases the rotational inertia of the knob assembly as operably coupled thereto through the shaft assembly.

Abstract: A mixing bowl assembly includes a bowl. A lid is removably coupled to the bowl and includes an outer circumferential frame and an inner circumferential lip. The lid defines a depressed support surface. A planar wooden trivet has a perimeter rim configured to engage the depressed support surface of the lid. A dome is removably coupled to the perimeter rim of the planar wooden trivet proximate the outer circumferential frame of the lid.

Abstract: A door for an appliance is disclosed. The door may include an outer panel having a generally planar body portion and an inner panel having a generally planar body portion. A trim breaker interconnects the outer panel and the inner panel to form an insulation cavity therebetween. At least one bracket assembly may be coupled to an outer surface of the inner panel, inset from the trim breaker, which may include a plurality of receiving apertures. The door may also include a trim shroud having at least one elongate slot disposed therethrough and positioned vertically therealong.

Abstract: A mixing bowl for a stand mixer includes a body defining an interior and an exterior. The body has first and second mounting flanges extending outwardly from opposite sides of the exterior and defining respective cavities open at least on bottom sides of the mounting flanges. The mixing bowl further includes first and second inserts fixedly received in the respective cavities of the first and second mounting flanges. The inserts define respective pin holes for receiving mounting pins of a bowl-lift mechanism of the stand mixer, the first and second pin holes being located relative to each other at a first tolerance and relative to the respective first and second flanges at a second tolerance lower than the first tolerance.

The attachment for a stand mixer further includes a plunger mounted with respect to the ice block-receiving chamber so as to be moveable into the inner cavity toward the lower side along an axis and to be rotatable around the axis, the blade having an edge that extends axially away from the axis and a drive shaft having an input end coupleable to a power output of the stand mixer and a drive end mechanically coupled with the plunger to drive rotation thereof about the axis.
