  • Patent number: 8720097
Abstract: A trigger lock is provided with a shield member having a U-shaped channel forming a first plate and a second plate spaced apart from the first flange, with a web connecting the first and second plates. The shield member has a peripheral contour that is complementarily shaped to closely match the transition contour of a firearm, in the region of the firearm frame transitioning between the thick frame and the thin trigger guard. The shield member is fitted over the trigger guard, with the trigger guard situated within the U-shaped channel. A plug is inserted through an aperture in the first plate, through the trigger guard, and through a second aperture in the second plate. The plug is secured within the shield member by a lock attached to the end of the plug protruding from the second aperture, thus preventing access to the trigger and preventing removal or substantial movement.

  • Patent number: 8646294
Abstract: A securement system is provided that permits the secured locking of an ultra-portable laptop computer without requiring the use of a universal security slot. The system includes an edge member that has a body channel intersecting a screen channel formed on a face. When the laptop is open, the edge of the laptop screen fits within the screen channel and the edge of the laptop body fits within the body channel, with the edge member being positioned astride the hinge between the screen and body. A cross member connects the edge member to an opposite edge member engaged over the opposite edge of the laptop. When secured, the system cannot be removed from the laptop, since the two edge members are prevented from movement due to the cross member and the channels.

  • Patent number: 7204106
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching to a first wall that defines a security aperture. The apparatus comprises a housing defining a longitudinal axis and a locking flange extending from the housing on a shaft and having a profile that is complimentary to the security aperture, such that the locking flange has a first orientation relative to the security aperture for insertion into and removal from the security aperture, and a second orientation relative to the security aperture for retention within the security aperture. The locking flange is transformable between the first orientation and the second orientation. The apparatus further includes a locking member that is coupled to the housing and is cooperative with the locking flange for inhibiting transformation of the locking flange from the second orientation to the first orientation. The apparatus further comprises at least one leg that is parallel to the first wall.
