Abstract: An applicator includes an application element configured to apply a product to eyelashes and/or eyebrows. The application element includes a support, and at least one row of teeth extending from the support. At least one of the teeth includes a base having an oblong cross-section. The oblong cross-section may be angularly positioned in a direction forming a non-zero acute angle with the axis of the row and/or a non-zero acute angle with the longitudinal axis of the support. An applicator system includes the applicator in combination with a receptacle for containing the product. Also provided is a cosmetic application method using the applicator.

Abstract: A device for applying a product may comprise a first portion and a second portion moveable with respect to the first portion so as to selectively place the device in one of a closed position and an open position. The first portion and the second portion may define a substantially closed reservoir when the device is in the closed position. The device may further comprise an application member. The application member may be at least partially compressible and configured such that, when the device is in the closed position, the application member is at least partially compressed inside the substantially closed reservoir and, when the device is moved from the closed position to the open position, the application member becomes substantially uncompressed. The application member may be configured so that when the application member is uncompressed, the application member is capable of being loaded with substantially all of an amount of product that the device is capable of containing.

Abstract: The invention relates to a product application device comprising a receptacle having a variable inside volume configured to contain product, an applicator element, and a dip tube configured to extend to the bottom of the receptacle. The device further comprises a first portion and a second portion configured to cooperate together to define a substantially leak-proof enclosure for the applicator element. The dip tube is configured to enable the enclosure to be in flow communication with product flowing from the receptacle.

Abstract: A cosmetic skin treatment method includes providing a patch configured to be used in both a cleansing mode and a treatment mode. The patch includes a polymeric matrix and a reinforcing member. The polymeric matrix includes at least one cosmetically active compound and at least one water-absorbent compound. The patch is configured to adhere to dry skin and also to adhere to skin when at least one of the patch and skin are moistened. The method also includes selecting at least one of the cleansing mode and the treatment mode. When the cleansing mode is selected, the method further includes applying the patch to an areas of dry skin so that the polymeric matrix adheres to the skin for a time sufficient to allow at least one impurity in the area of skin to become attached to the polymeric matrix. Thereafter, the patch is removed from the area of the skin while said at least one impurity is attached to the polymeric matrix.

Abstract: An applicator, applicator system and method of using an applicator for applying a product to the eyelashes include an application element disposed on the end of a stem. The application element includes a core and a plurality of consecutive teeth alternately disposed on opposite sides of the core at different positions along the length of the core. Three consecutive teeth define a volume configured to contain the product to be applied.

Abstract: The present application relates to an applicator comprising a support which is configured to allow the applicator to be engaged with a container containing a first product, in the form of a gel, cream, or liquid, and an application member on the support. The application member is capable of conveying the first product from an opening defined by the support to an application face of the said application member. The applicator further includes a lid configured to removably cover the applicator member by engaging with the support. In a closed end of the lid there is a second product, in the form of a solid cake or powder. The application face is capable, when the lid is fitted, of being pressed elastically against the said second product so that the second product can be loaded onto the application face.

A composition is arranged inside the container and formed from at least two phases which are mutually immiscible and have differing densities. The difference in densities allows the phases to separate within the container. The dispenser is configured to selectively dispense either one of the phases of the composition individually or a mixture of at least two of the phases at the same time. The invention also relates to the use of a dispenser of this type for the dispensing of a composition in a variable ratio of concentrations of the phases constituting the composition.
