Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for transmitting feedback information to a base station. The feedback information transmitting apparatus receives channel allocation information, generates a plurality of payloads regarding feedback information, and multiplexes the plurality of payloads in terms of a plurality of classes so as to generate a plurality of multiplexed payloads. Subsequently, the plurality of multiplexed payloads are code multiplexed so as to generate a code division multiplexing symbol, and a channel code is applied to the code division multiplexing symbol. Then, the code division multiplexing signal applied with the channel code is transmitted to a base station through a wireless resource. Accordingly, a feedback channel that is adaptive to a channel condition is configured, such that a wireless resource for a feedback channel can be efficiently used.

  • Publication number: 20100135438
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of detecting signals at a receiver of a communication system with a multiple input multiple output antenna. With the signal detection method, a square of the distance between a received signal vector and a channel status-considered transmission symbol vector is calculated first, and the square of the distance is then classified into first and second components. The first component is minimized to calculate a plurality of first soft symbol estimates. A solution set of the first component is calculated on the basis of the plurality of first soft symbol estimates. The second component is minimized to calculate a plurality of second soft symbol estimates. A solution set of the second component is calculated on the basis of the plurality of second soft symbol estimates. A final solution set is calculated by doing the sum of the first component solution set and the second component solution.

  • Publication number: 20100135160
Abstract: A system for electronic monitoring includes a control server and a plurality of monitoring servers. The control server transmits electronic monitoring instructions including identification information on terminals to a plurality of monitoring servers, respectively, based on information of objects to be monitored stored in a database, receives an object confirmation request message including information on suspect object packets from a first monitoring server among the plurality of monitoring servers, and determines whether the monitoring object terminals correspond to suspect object terminals that transmit or receive the suspect object packets according to the object confirmation request message based on the information on the monitoring objects. When the suspect object terminals are the monitoring object terminals, the control server updates the database based on the information on the suspect object packets.

  • Publication number: 20100115018
Abstract: Disclosed is an interception method that interworks with a communication network and an Internet network. A law enforcement agency system verifies whether an interception target presently uses an Internet service by using a terminal other than a terminal registered as the interception target on the basis of Internet service access information of the interception target. When the interception target uses the Internet service by using the other terminal, the law enforcement agency system updates interception target information on the basis of IP address information of the corresponding terminal, which is included in the Internet service access information and transmits the updated interception target information to a communication service provider.

  • Publication number: 20100103900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a beamforming device in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access system, and a method thereof. In the method, a switched beamforming algorithm is applied to perform downlink beamforming, and an adaptive beamforming algorithm is applied to perform uplink receiving beamforming. In addition, a half wavelength array antenna is used to simultaneously allocate the same resource to two terminals separately positioned in two different spaces, so as to support spatial division multiple access (SDMA). In this case, since a base station uses channel status information at transmitter (CSIT) for transmitting beamforming and receiving beamforming, the SDMA may be supported without obtaining additional channel status information at receiver (CSIR) when realizing the uplink receiving beamforming.

  • Publication number: 20100009688
Abstract: A random access channel operating method in a mobile communication system is provided. The random access channel operating method includes: (a) selecting a transmission mode according to a load of random access channel and performing transmission to a mobile terminal; (b) receiving a message having a format corresponding to the selected transmission mode from the mobile terminal; (c) determining whether or not a preamble or data is included in the message received in (b) receiving of the message; and (d) if the data is determined to be included in the (c) determining, transmitting a response message for data reception to the mobile terminal. Accordingly, use efficiency of a random access channel can be increased by measuring a system load of the random access channel in a base station and changing a transmission format of a burst transmitted through the random access channel according to the measured load level.

  • Publication number: 20090190560
Abstract: The present invention relates to an uplink synchronization request method in a mobile communication system, a CDMA allocation information element structure thereof, and an apparatus using the same. For this purpose the uplink synchronization request method includes: when up-link traffic is generated, determining whether an uplink synchronization error occurs; when the uplink synchronization error occurs, calculating a timing adjustment value; and transmitting a bandwidth request code including the calculated timing adjustment value to a base station and performing a band-width request. According to the present invention, the PSS compares a reference adjustment value and an arrival time of a downlink preamble to calculate uplink synchronization timing and synchronize an uplink of the PSS that requests bandwidth allocation through a bandwidth request ranging process to thereby maximize resource use efficiency in the uplink synchronization.
