  • Publication number: 20060070008
Abstract: A method and system for preservation of browser window integrity is disclosed. The position and size of script-created windows is adjusted as necessary to preserve critical data on the computer screen prior to rendering those windows. Popup windows are similarly adjusted so that window integrity is preserved. Popup window size is adjusted to be smaller than the vertical size of the popup's parent window. Popup window position is modified so that popups do not extend above the top, or below the bottom, of their parent window. Finally, the popup position in the z dimension is adjusted so that the popup appears immediately above its parent window.

  • Patent number: 7020266
Abstract: Apparatus and method for simultaneously providing multiple telephone-type services to any/all POTS-type devices on a single wire pair at a user premises. The present invention provides for the ability to add separately addressable POTS devices on a single service loop. This can be accomplished in at least two ways: first by the use of a multipoint protocol or second by Frequency Division Multiplexing.

  • Publication number: 20050199225
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing for efficient operation of gas engines in non-ideal temperature conditions. An apparatus is provided in fluid communication with a source of gas, and with the gas input of a gas engine. The apparatus accepts gas from the source, and allows the gas to reach the gas engine via one or two reservoirs. Pressure regulators can be mounted with the input ports, output ports, or combinations thereof, of the reservoirs. An exhaust channel accepts exhaust from the gas engine and passes it along a path that is in thermal communication with the reservoirs, such that the exhaust encourages a more uniform and higher operating temperature of the gas supplied to the pressure regulators and to the gas engine.

  • Publication number: 20050183588
Abstract: A method and apparatus for pitting olives (or other fruit) and slicing the pitted fruit. In preferred embodiments, a pitting knife and a coring knife horizontally translate each olive to be pitted while the pitting knife, coring knife, and olive revolve together about a horizontal axis, the pitting knife pushes out the pit horizontally as the olive and cup translate along a segment of a circular first path around the axis, the apparatus includes slicing pockets (in positions horizontally separated from the first path) which translate along a circular second path parallel to the first path, after pitting, a pitting knife pulls the pitted olive horizontally away from the first path and into one of the pockets, and the pitted olive in the pocket is sliced by slicing knives as the pitted olive and pocket translate around the axis along a segment of the second path into engagement with the slicing knives.

  • Patent number: 6789661
Abstract: An inline feeder for delivering oriented parts, said inline feeder including a hopper section including a vibratory hopper for storing parts and transporting parts to an elevator section including an inclined elevator for receiving parts from said vibratory hopper and depositing said parts onto a linear feeder. Said inline feeder further including a part sensor for sensing flow of parts along said linear feeder, said sensor sensing flow and orientation of said parts on said linear feeder; and a an air fitting/valve for applying a burst of compressed gas against a part for rejecting and removing said part from said linear feeder, wherein said air valve operably in communication with said part sensor means for triggering a part rejection due to misorientation or jammed parts from said linear feeder and allowing properly oriented parts to be delivered.

  • Publication number: 20030214689
Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining data from a document at point of presentment. The document has a predetermined width, and the apparatus has a frame, a drive mechanism mounted on the frame, and sensors. The drive mechanism is adapted to move the document along a document path in the apparatus between a home position, at which the document is inserted into the apparatus, and an exit position, at which the document is removable from the apparatus. The drive mechanism includes a roller rotatable about a roller axis for engaging a contact portion of the document extending along the width thereof. The roller has a substantially smooth surface for supporting the contact portion. The sensors are for obtaining document data from the contact portion of the document.
