  • Publication number: 20150286991
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure are directed toward methods of providing a user interface for a job applicant self-assessment and computing an overall fit score between the applicant and a target job. An ideal job candidate may be specified by an employer on the basis of four categories: competencies, personality traits, motives, and experience levels. Then, an actual job applicant may interact with a user interface to perform a self-assessment on each of the four categories. A fit score may be determined between the applicant and the job for each of the four categories, and the four fit scores may be used to compute an overall fit score between the applicant and the job.

  • Publication number: 20150254251
Abstract: An organic search ranking of a web page for a particular search query can be optimized by publishing a large number of short, subsidiary web documents associated with the web page. The web page and the associated web documents can be individually optimized in terms of one or more parameters based upon web analytical data compiled for the search query. The web page and associated web documents can also be jointly optimized by coordinating the content of the associated web documents to align with the primary web page, and further by providing a network of links between the associated web documents and the primary web page. To provide greater insight and to assess the overall efficacy of the web presence optimization effort, historical search rank data can be correlated with specific events and reported to a user.

  • Publication number: 20150184004
Abstract: Lithographic printing inks are described, which are characterized by the inclusion of both water, in a substantially emulsified form, and inorganic filler. Inks of the present invention show improved printing properties in offset lithography, including improved transfer, reduced piling and improved mileage. They also offer cost advantages over currently available inks and the ability to minimize or eliminate entirely mineral oil from their compositions. The inks of the present invention may be used in both web-based print processes including coldset and heatset, as well as in sheetfed printing. The inks may be dried to a durable ink film at ambient temperature, with thermal energy or with actinic or electron beam radiation, or with any combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20140216286
Abstract: Provided are web-offset lithographic ink compositions that contain an alkyl thioether surfactant, an alkoxylated modified rosin, or a combination thereof. The ink compositions can be oil-based inks or water-based inks that can be radiation-curable. The resulting ink compositions can be used in web-offset lithographic printing to substantially reduce or eliminate the ink feedback and ink build-up that occurs during printing. Also provided are methods for reducing or eliminating ink feedback and build-up during lithographic printing processes.

  • Publication number: 20130151273
Abstract: Providers may use mobile devices to access mobile drug sampling services from a drug sample promotional ecosystem. The drug sample promotional ecosystem includes a promotional orchestration engine which comprises a services engine that provides transactional responses to a provider's request, such as informational results being returned to the provider or request for further actions that will be forwarded. An analysis engine stores data and provides tactical and strategic level analysis. The learning engine is a mechanism by which the promotional orchestration engine adapts itself to changing conditions. The learning engine preferably customizes various components of the services engine and components of the analysis engine. From a provider's standpoint, the learning engine allows components of the services engine to be personalized to the particular provider.

  • Publication number: 20120192735
Abstract: A fountain solution for offset lithographic printing ink includes water, one or more surfactants, and a dynamic surface tension of less than 30 dynes/cm. The fountain solution can further include an interfacial tension between the fountain solution and the offset lithographic printing ink of less than 10 dynes/cm. The press waste of a print run applying the fountain solution is reduced to less than 5%. An offset lithographic printing system includes a fountain solution and an offset lithographic printing ink, and the press waste of the offset lithographic printing system is less than 5%.

  • Publication number: 20110272358
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of forming a media support wall framework having a graduated through/pore space of the framework wall such that the graduation provides a greater through space in the lowest region of the framework; providing thus an entry plenum pressure differential compensation that compensates for media compaction problems associated with media contained in vertically standing remediation units; thus providing a more equalized passage of a contaminated air or water stream in a radial direction through out the full height of the media bed and assuring more efficient use of the contained media.

  • Publication number: 20110000373
Abstract: A support framework for containing a structurally integral, porous remediation media, such as foam or reticulated foam that is used to remediate corrosive vaporous pollutants in a contaminated inlet stream. The support framework is situated within a plenum and comprises a pair of open-lattice weave frameworks made from corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic “FRP”. The frameworks are of differing diameters and are concentrically aligned such that a media containment section is formed within the open space formed between the inside wall of the outer framework and the outside wall of the inner framework. The open-lattice weave design allows a greater radial flow through the media per unit of time, doing so with less pressure drop and using less energy than the prior art. The use of FRP to form the framework walls allows creation of large units that are suitable for use in municipal and industrial settings, which was not possible previously.

  • Patent number: 7785402
Abstract: A support framework for containing a media that is used to remediate corrosive vaporous pollutants in an air stream. The support framework is situated within a plenum and comprises two concentric open-lattice weave frameworks made from corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic “FRP”. The frameworks are of differing diameters and the media is placed into and contained within the open space formed between the inside wall of the outer framework and the outside wall of the inner framework. The open-lattice weave design allows a greater radial flow through the media per unit of time, doing so with less pressure drop and using less energy than the prior art. The use of FRP to form the framework walls allows creation of large units that are suitable for use in municipal and industrial settings, which was not possible previously.

  • Publication number: 20100193303
Abstract: An improved brake spider and anchor pin assembly in which weight, cost, manufacture, axle installation and maintenance is improved over prior brake spider designs. The improved brake spider is built up from light weight, relatively inexpensive stampings which are joined together, for example by welding, to form a strong built-up brake spider component. In one embodiment, two steel stampings formed with flanges and stamped strengthening ribs are welded together to form a hollow, structure which has the strength to withstand high brake force loads and large numbers of brake cycles. The built up brake spider may include one or more captured inserts in the form of anchor pin assemblies and a brake actuator rod pass-through support. The anchor pin insert may be in the form of a trunion having a middle section with a greater diameter than corresponding holes in the shell plates to preclude axial motion.
