  • Patent number: 10085524
Abstract: A hook and loop fastener includes a first strip having one of loops or hooks and a second strip having another of the loops or the hooks. The first strip has a first longitudinal track orthogonal to the first strip. The second strip has a second longitudinal track, orthogonal to the first longitudinal track. A slider is provided that has an interface disrupting member extends outwardly. A gripping element is provided for manually moving the slider along the first longitudinal track and the second longitudinal track in a first direction and a second direction. Movement of the slider in the first direction brings the first strip into engagement with the second strip. Movement of the slider in the second direction draws the interface disrupting member through the interface between the first strip and the second strip, thereby separating the first strip and the second strip.

  • Publication number: 20170002635
Abstract: A pumpjack is operated continuously over a sequence of two adjacent pump stroke cycles, by energizing an electric motor to operate the pumpjack over a first pump stroke cycle according to a motor speed profile over a plurality of discrete control periods within the cycle, while receiving sensory feedback from one or more sensors. In response to the feedback, and while continuing to operate the pumpjack, one or more speed adjustments are made to specific control periods, so as to alter the motor speed profile while continuing to operate the electric motor to drive the pump jack. The intra-cycle control optimizes flow while reacting to detrimental and changing conditions.

  • Publication number: 20170002805
Abstract: A pumpjack is driven by an electric motor coupled to a gear box. A local drive controller controls the motor in accordance with a varying motor speed profile over a pumping cycle of the pumpjack. The drive controller determines, based on sensory feedback from the one or more sensors, a pumping cycle load profile, automatically determines, based on the pumping cycle load profile, a varying voltage profile, and controls the motor in accordance with the varying motor speed profile while applying the varying voltage profile to the motor.

  • Patent number: 9152140
Abstract: A change monitor as part of an online editor of a sequential function chart (SFC) programming environment monitors edits to a control routine. The change monitor provides warning to users before taking actions that would result in a reset of the control routine currently being executed by an industrial controller. The change manager reduces or eliminates many situations that would otherwise result in a reset as well by instructing online editor as to what language elements need to be assembled to implement the change. The change monitor also filters the manner in which reset warnings are given to reduce unnecessary distractions.

  • Patent number: 9055589
Abstract: A mobile device establishes with a wireless network a packet data session associated with a first application for accessing a first communication service, as well as a packet data session associated with a second application for accessing a second communication service. In response to identifying an indication of a request for information via a third application, the mobile device causes the packet data session associated with the second application to be terminated, and establishes with the wireless network a packet data session associated with the third application for accessing a third communication service.

  • Publication number: 20150146114
Abstract: The present invention is an attachment that is designed to mount a flat screen display to a bumper of a vehicle. The present invention includes a substantially L-shaped tubular brace having a vertically-oriented mounting end and a horizontally-oriented attachment end. The vertically-oriented mounting end includes a concentric sleeve that has a bracket that removably attaches to a display. The concentric sleeve allows a display to swivel and be viewed at a variety of angles. The horizontally-oriented attachment end is removably secured to a vehicle bumper, such as a conventional square channel bumper, by removably inserting the horizontally-oriented attachment in the hollow channel of the bumper. The attachment end includes a pair of square-shaped flanges that are spaced apart along the length of the attachment end and are sized to be received within the hollow channel of the bumper. The flanges support the weight of the assembly and an attached display.

  • Publication number: 20140083013
Abstract: A door system can have a door that can both slide and pivot open. The door can be positioned in a door frame. The door can slide within the door frame using tracks, rollers, and/or guides. The door can be prevented from swinging open while the door is sliding along the doorframe. The door can swing open along a pivot point when a side of the door substantially abuts a side of the doorframe. The door can be prevented from sliding while door is swung open.

  • Patent number: 8515568
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methods for monitoring an operation parameter of a process tool, independently of a process system recipe, are provided. In one embodiment, the behavior of a process device as it transitions between different states is monitored for a single cycle of operation or over time to detect trends that indicate a potential failure of the process device. When a trend that indicates a potential failure is detected, an alarm is generated. In one implementation, the time for reaching a particular stage of operation may be repeatedly monitored over a plurality of device cycles. For example, the time to open a valve or door may be monitored. In another example, the time for reaching a stable phase of gas flow after a ramping stage has commenced is monitored. When the time for reaching a particular stage begins to decline by a predetermined amount, an alarm may be generated.

  • Patent number: 8402165
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for prioritizing assignment of a packet data session for a plurality of applications of a mobile communication device, especially when operating in wireless networks that limit the number of simultaneous packet data sessions available to the mobile device. The plurality of applications include at least a first (priority) application operative in connection with a first (priority) communication service and a second application operative in connection with a second communication service. The first (priority) service may be or include a “push” type data or message synchronization service. The mobile device causes a packet data session associated with the first (priority) application to be activated for accessing the first (priority) service.
