  • Publication number: 20200039892
Abstract: Methods for forming a coated component, along with the resulting coated components, are provided. The method may include forming a silicon-based bond coating on a surface of a substrate and forming a barrier coating on the silicon-based bond coating. The silicon-based bond coating comprises columnar grains of crystalline silicon. Chemical vapor depositing (CVD) may be used to form the silicon-based bond coating through CVD of a silicon-containing precursor at a deposition temperature and deposition pressure that causes crystallization of the silicon material during the deposition of the silicon-based bond coating. The silicon-containing precursor may be silane, monochlorosilane, dichlorosilane, and/or trichlorosilane.

  • Publication number: 20190020916
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for embedding and associating triggers within a promotion or other similar content element with the event being promoted are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, consumer premises equipment (CPE) such as a digital set-top box is used to interface between the user and an external network (such as an HFC cable network) and facilitate the user selecting and scheduling viewing or recording of a subsequent event (e.g., broadcast movie) via the promotion itself. The trigger(s) within the promotion allow the user to contemporaneously select the promoted event for viewing, recording, etc. without any further action. The trigger(s) then initiates tuning of the user's receiver to the scheduled event at the appropriate date and time. This approach obviates additional actions by the user (such as programming their DVR), and also permits the user to commit to viewing the event when their interest level is highest; i.e., contemporaneous with the promotion.

  • Publication number: 20190006730
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a resonant circuit including an active material substrate excitable by photon energy. A busline having a single input and a single output is located on the active material substrate. A RF resonator geometry is located on the active material substrate in electrical communication with the busline. Application of photon energy to the active material substrate changes the resonance of the RF resonator geometry at room temperatures. Alternately, a resonant circuit is provided that include a passive material substrate. An active material thin film is located on the passive material substrate. A busline having a single input and a single output and a RF resonator geometry located on the active material thin film. The RF resonator geometry is in electrical communication with the busline.
