  • Publication number: 20170285033
Abstract: The disclosed methods are used to predict or assess colon tumor status in a patient. They can be used to determine nature of tumor, recurrence, or patient response to treatments. Some embodiments of the methods include generating a report for clinical management. The methodology provided herein is intended to detect technical variations and to allow for data normalization and enhance signal detection and build predictive proteins profiles of disease status and response.

  • Publication number: 20170268287
Abstract: A thermally insulating panel (e.g., vacuum IG window unit) includes first and second opposing substrates spaced apart from one another by a plurality of spacers. A low pressure space is defined between the substrates, and is hermetically sealed off by at least one edge seal. During evacuation of the space, a plasma is ignited within the space via a static grid assembly in order to reduce the time needed to evacuate the space down and/or to help remove debris from within the space to the desired low pressure.

  • Patent number: 9752375
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) window to be substituted for and/or replace a non-vacuum insulated glass window in an existing window assembly frame structure is disclosed. A width of a VIG window is substantially less than that of existing non-vacuum insulated glass (IG) windows (e.g., a double, triple or quad pane windows). A replacement stop is provided that compensates for the difference between the larger width of a non-vacuum insulated glass window and a VIG window which has a smaller width, thereby enabling the VIG window to be easily and cost effectively installed in existing window configurations originally intended for non-vacuum insulated glass windows. The replacement stop may be used in the manufacture of VIG window units and/or to replace existing and/or already installed non-vacuum insulated glass windows.

  • Publication number: 20170236218
Abstract: Systems and methods of processing business related data arising from multiple revenue sources (e.g., sales, subscriptions, professional services, vendors, etc.). In some embodiments, the inventive system and methods enable a more flexible and efficient approach to identifying revenue source events (mediation), pricing those events (typically as part of a rating process), and subsequently leveraging those “ratable events” in the billing and revenue recognition subsystems according to configurable rules and schedules. Data regarding those charges or other aspects of a ratable event may then be used and processed by multiple sub-systems that are part of operating a business; such sub-systems may include one or more of ERP, CRM, HCM, financial, accounting, taxation, or other business-related system or function.

  • Patent number: 9701312
Abstract: An idle reduction engine shutdown and restart system for a machine is disclosed. The machine can include an engine operably connected to a drivetrain including ground engaging propulsion members. The drivetrain can be configured to transmit mechanical energy between the engine and the ground engaging propulsion members. The idle reduction engine shutdown and restart system for the machine can include a starter operatively associated with the engine and configured to effectuate ignition of the engine. The idle reduction engine shutdown and restart system for the machine can further include an idle reduction engine shutdown and restart controller electronically and controllably connected to the engine and configured to shut down the engine in an engine shutdown mode.

  • Patent number: 9695628
Abstract: A vacuum insulated glass (VIG) assembly is provided with a protective ring surrounding a portion of a glass pump-out tube extending beyond an outer surface of one of the glass substrates that form the vacuum insulated glass assembly. The vacuum insulated glass assembly may further include a laminated glass substrate in which a hole is formed to accommodate the protective ring and/or pump-out tube portion, wherein the protective ring protects the glass pump-out tube from damage during a lamination process. In addition, a cap may be provided over the laminated substrate to cover the hole in the laminated substrate and further cover the protective ring and sealed pump-out tube.

  • Patent number: 9519433
Abstract: Systems and methods for sanitizing physical storage in cloud computing and virtual environments. When logical storage is decommissioned in a virtual environment, the underlying physical storage is logically disassociated. However, the underlying physical data blocks remain intact until they are overwritten. Since there is no control over when, or even if, the physical data is ever overwritten, the remaining data is susceptible to compromise. The present disclosure provides a secure erase application that securely erases physical storage associated with to-be deleted resources, such as virtual data stores, virtual images, snapshots and raw virtual disks.

  • Patent number: 9404573
Abstract: A hydraulic apparatus and a method of controlling the hydraulic apparatus are disclosed. The hydraulic apparatus includes a first pump having a first fixed displacement, a second pump having a second fixed displacement, and a diverter. The diverter includes a first diverter inlet port fluidly coupled to a discharge of the second pump, a first diverter outlet port fluidly coupled to a discharge of the first pump, and a second diverter outlet port fluidly coupled to a low pressure system, the low pressure system having a fluid pressure lower than a fluid pressure of the discharge of the first pump. The diverter is operable to selectively vary fluid communication between the first diverter inlet port and either the first diverter outlet port or the second diverter outlet port based on a reference pressure.

  • Patent number: 9206103
Abstract: The subject invention provides a myricanol compound that is in predominant form of (+)-?R,11S-myricanol as compared to (?)-?S,11R-myricanol. In one embodiment, the (+)-?R,11S-myricanol is isolated from Myrica cerifera, and is in about 86% enantiomeric excess of (?)-?S,11R-myricanol. The subject invention also pertains to therapeutic compositions and methods for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, in particular, neurodegenerative diseases associated with abnormal accumulation of protein tau. Specifically exemplified herein is the therapeutic use of myricanol and myricanone isolated from root barks of Myrica species. Also provided are methods for preparing extracts of the subject invention from Myrica species.
