  • Publication number: 20250258117
Abstract: A method is described for assessing subsurface formations for their suitability for use as an advanced close loop geothermal energy system by quantifying thermal conductivity of the subsurface formations. The thermal conductivity is quantified by obtaining rock samples and well logs from a well; analyzing the well logs to generate a well log interpretation; analyzing the rock samples to generate a rock sample interpretation; integrating the well log interpretation and the rock sample interpretation to generate a combined interpretation; estimating thermal conductivity along the well based on the combined interpretation using anisotropic equivalent media mixing laws; upscaling the thermal conductivity along the well to quantify thermal conductivity for the well as part of an advanced closed loop geothermal system; and quantifying the thermal conductivity of the subsurface formation based on the thermal conductivity for the well as part of an advanced closed loop geothermal system.

  • Patent number: 12363187
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for UDP file serialization. In examples, a file received at a first device in a OWT system is separated into multiple data chunks. Each of the data chunks is further separated into multiple data segments. Metadata associated with the file is inserted into each of the data chunks and each of the data segments. Data packets that comprise the data segments and compose the data chunks are transmitted to a second device in the OWT system. The second device uses the metadata in the data chunks and the data segments to reconstruct the file. In some examples, data loss mitigation strategies are implemented to mitigate data packet loss and data packet corruption during processing and transmission.

  • Patent number: 12280514
Abstract: A handheld safety knife is disclosed herein which comprises a removable blade cartridge installed into a handle having a cartridge recess. The cartridge recess retains the blade cartridge within the handle through one or more of the following: a contoured side wall matching that of the removable blade cartridge; a plurality of anti-rotation protrusions which are located in the cartridge recess; or a cartridge orientation feature which mates with a cavity located in the removable blade cartridge. When the blade becomes used, it may be removed and reoriented to access a fresh blade. During this blade exchange, the cartridge may be removed from the handle, but the blade is not exposed, thus yielding a safer design over that taught in the prior art.

  • Patent number: 12242514
Abstract: The present disclosure relates clustering similar data records together in a hierarchical clustering scheme. Each tier in a cluster corresponds to a minimal match score, which reflects a degree of confidence. In this respect, a higher confidence may lead to smaller sized clusters while a lower confidence may lead to larger sized clusters. Ordinal classification may be used to generate hierarchical clusters. In some embodiments, hierarchical clustering with conflict resolution is used to resolve user-defined hard conflicts in each tier of the clustering results.

  • Publication number: 20250053468
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for a bidirectional application programming interface (API) that enables operational action functionality in a one-way transfer (OWT) system. In examples, a data request is received at a first computing environment of an OWT system, where the data request is associated with a first unidirectional dataflow having a transaction identifier. A first set of policies associated with the first computing environment is applied to the data request and the data request is transferred to a second computing environment of the OWT system. The second computing environment retrieves response data for the data request, where the response data is associated with a second unidirectional dataflow having the transaction identifier. A second set of policies associated with the second computing environment is applied to the response data and the response data is transferred to the first computing environment to fulfill the data request.
