  • Patent number: 9537831
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer-readable media for an anonymization service level improvement system (“ALI”) are described. One or more transactions may be generated by a system to be transmitted outside of a secure area. The ALI may anonymize these transactions and anonymization may be measured by reference to one or more anonymization metrics, including, but not limited to, k-anonymity, l-diversity, and t-closeness. The ALI may be configured to determine current values for the metrics and whether current anonymization is sufficient to provide a pre-determined service level. If the service level is not sufficient, then the ALI may generate fake anonymized transactions to be output to satisfy the pre-determined service levels of the one or more anonymization metrics. Results may be received which may include valid and invalid results. The ALI may remove the invalid results before returning the valid results to the system. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 9471907
Abstract: A system and method may provide for defining a usage policy for an available resource of a personal computing system, and transmitting the usage policy to a market broker. The market broker may identify a match between the usage policy and a request from another computing system, and generate a notification of the match. In addition, funds may be transferred from an account associated with the other computing system to an account associated with the personal computing system based on a remote usage of the available resource by the other computing system.

  • Publication number: 20160292794
Abstract: Technologies for electronically monitoring achievement of goals includes a goal achievement computing device that receives section of a goal related to an online presence of a user. The goal achievement computing device indexes online content related to the selected goal and analyzes the indexed online content based on a goal database. The goal database includes conditions that hinder achievement and support achievement of the selected goal. The goal achievement computing device determines a recommendation for achieving the selected goal based on a determination that a portion of the indexed online content satisfies a condition that hinders or a condition supports achievement of the selected goal.

  • Publication number: 20160259802
Abstract: Technologies for adaptively striping data across multiple storage clouds include receiving user constraints corresponding one or more cloud storage providers, receiving a file to be striped across the cloud storage providers, splitting the received file into file blocks, allocating each of the file blocks to a different one of the cloud storage providers as a function of the user constraints and operating conditions of each of the cloud storage providers, and sending each of the file blocks to the cloud storage provider to which each file block is allocated. In some embodiments, file blocks may be re-allocated from one cloud storage provider to another cloud storage provider as a function of changing user constraints or operating conditions. In addition, each of the file blocks may be retrieved from the cloud storage providers to re-assemble the file.

  • Publication number: 20160178904
Abstract: Technologies for mitigating a physiological condition include a wearable computing device coupled with a head-mounted display and sensor(s). The wearable computing device may receive sensor data indicative of a physical attribute of the user while displaying information on the head-mounted display. The wearable computing device analyzes the sensor data to detect a physiological condition of the user and, if detected, applies a mitigation strategy to mitigate the physiological condition. The detected physical condition may be a nausea condition or a seizure condition. To reduce potential risk to the user, the wearable computing device may buffer information to be displayed by the head-mounted display, analyze the display information based on risk factor rules to determine whether the display information presents a potential risk to the user, and reduce the display rate of the head-mounted display in response to the potential risk to the user. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20160147982
Abstract: The present application is directed to transparent execution of secret content. A device may be capable of downloading content that may include at least one secret portion, wherein any secret portions of the content may be directed to a secure workplace in the device not accessible to device operating system components, applications, users, etc. The device may then present the content in a manner that allows secret portions of the content to be executed without direct access. For example, the device may download content, and a director module in the device may direct any secret portions of the downloaded content to a secure workspace. During execution of the content, any inputs required by the secret portions may be provided to the secure workspace, and any resulting outputs from the secret portions may then be used during content presentation.

  • Publication number: 20160134592
Abstract: Network request anonymizing nodes (“NRANs”) may be described herein. The NRANs may act as anonymizing proxies by generating additional anonymizing network requests to help anonymize a network request sent by a requesting computing node. By generating the additional anonymizing network request, the NRANs may cause a relatively large number of similar network requests to be transmitted in an approximately contemporaneous fashion with the transmission of the network request. The NRANs may receive indication of network requests via a secure anonymization proxy tunnel, which may be established through transmission of an anonymizing proxy request from the requesting computing node to the NRANs. The secure anonymization proxy tunnel may be established between a secure enclave of the requesting computing node and secure enclaves of the NRANs. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20150325136
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products that inform the user as to how best to speak or otherwise interact with others in a particular social context. Sensors may be used to capture information about a user's surroundings in near real time. This information represents contextual inputs that may be used to identify the particular social context. Once the context is identified, one or more behavioral recommendations may be generated, particular to this context, and provided to the user. In an embodiment, a determination of behavioral recommendations may also be informed by the user's input of a persona which he wishes to express in this context.
