Publication number: 20220098995Abstract: A rotational position of a variable-vane of a variable-vane turbine nozzle upstream of a turbine of a gas-turbine engine is biased towards a corresponding rotational position that will mitigate against an overspeed condition of the turbine during operation of the gas-turbine engine. When the turbine is operating at a rotational speed that is less than an overspeed threshold, the rotational position of the variable-vane is controlled independently of the biasing using a variable-vane actuator operatively coupled to the variable-vane. Responsive to a rotational speed of the turbine in excess of the overspeed threshold, the variable-vane actuator is operatively decoupled from the variable-vane so as to provide for the variable-vane to be repositioned towards the corresponding rotational position that will mitigate against the overspeed condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2021Publication date: March 31, 2022Applicant: WILLIAMS INTERNATIONAL CO., L.L.C.Inventors: Thomas J. WILLIAMS, Mark E. SUCHEZKY, Jeffrey C. THOMPSON

Patent number: 10616373Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods, apparatus, computer program code and means may receive data streams from remote third-party administrator computer servers. A back-end application computer server may receive a set of requests from a first third-party administrator computer server, each request being associated with a request value. The back-end application server may retrieve a first set of pre-determined rules and automatically apply them to the set of requests, resulting in an adjusted request value and an overall value. The back-end computer server may then automatically transmit a settlement instruction, including the overall value, to an electronic transaction system, and render a transaction activity report display via a remote computer device, associated with the first third-party administrator computer server, including information about the set of requests, the adjusted request value along with an indication of a reason for the adjustment, and the overall value.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2019Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Hartford Fire Insurance CompanyInventors: Stephen Juan, Cynthia D Finley, Linda L. Ternullo, Jeffrey C. Thompson, Brian Foti

Publication number: 20140046725Abstract: According to some embodiments, a data acquisition processor may receive a customer feedback response to a loyalty survey, the customer feedback being received after a notice of an interaction associated with an insurance entity and a customer is received. A loyalty rating may be determined for the customer based on the received customer feedback response. Based on the loyalty rating, information associated with the customer may be automatically transmitted to a party other than the insurance entity. The party other than the insurance entity might be associated with, by way of examples only, a third party administrator, an insurance sales agent, or a sales partner of the insurance entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2012Publication date: February 13, 2014Applicant: HARTFORD FIRE INSURANCE COMPANYInventors: Eric Brandt, Peter Neag, Jeffrey C.
