  • Patent number: 11619140
Abstract: A first turboexpander generator is configured to decrease a temperature or pressure of a process stream flowing through the first turboexpander generator by generating electrical power from the process stream. A second turboexpander generator is configured to decrease a temperature or pressure of a process stream flowing through the second turboexpander generator by generating electrical power from the process stream. The second turboexpander generator is downstream of and receives a flow output from the first turboexpander generator. The first turboexpander generator and the second turboexpander generator each include the following features. An electric stator surrounds an electric rotor. An annulus defined by the electric rotor and the electric stator is configured to receive a process fluid flow. Magnetic bearings carry the rotor within the stator. A housing encloses the rotor and stator. The housing is hermetically sealed between an inlet and an outlet of each turboexpander generator.

  • Patent number: 11611263
Abstract: An electric power generation system receives a gas flow at a heater, heats the gas flow at the heater with a heated fluid from a waste heat process, and directs the heated gas flow to a turbine wheel of an electric generator. The heated gas flow drives rotation of the turbine wheel, and in response to rotating the turbine wheel, electrical current is generated by the electric generator. Generated electrical current is then directed to power electronics.

  • Patent number: 11256607
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for providing a test environment, composed of one or more virtual machines, to a developer instantly in response to a checkout request from the developer. To do this, a sandbox service implements a smart, tiered approach to creating and provisioning virtual machines that compose the test environments. The approach is flexible and elastic in nature, so that the developers do not have to wait an extended period of time for a test environment, yet the costs associated with configuring the virtual machines (e.g., storage and compute costs) are minimized. For example, the sandbox service can use historical data to predict a number of checkout requests expected for a first time interval (e.g., one day), a second time interval (e.g., thirty minutes), and a third time interval (e.g., five minutes). The sandbox service can then configure virtual machines into different states based on the predicted numbers.

  • Patent number: 11105845
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) chip for providing a safety-critical value includes first and second processing paths. The first processing path includes a first processing element and is coupled to receive a first input signal on a first input pin and to provide a first output signal that provides the safety-critical value on an output pin. The second processing path includes a second processing element and is coupled to receive a second input signal and to provide a second output signal. The first processing path and the second processing path are independent of each other. A smart comparator on the IC chip receives the first output signal and the second output signal and initiates a remedial action responsive to a difference between the first output signal and the second output signal reaching a configurable threshold.

  • Patent number: 10666242
Abstract: A delay line can include a number of delay elements connected in series, each selected to impart an overall delay to an input signal. The delay line can include delay selection logic to select a subset of the delay elements to delay the input signal. The delay line can include delay element enable logic to enable the selected subset of the delay elements to delay the input signal. Further, the remaining delay elements can be disabled from contributing any delay to the input signal, and a respective periodic signal can be provided to at least one of the remaining delay elements to cause the at least one remaining delay elements to output an output signal that is a function of the respective periodic signal and that has a frequency less than that of the input signal. This configuration can reduce asymmetric aging effects on the delay line.

  • Patent number: 10652227
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for impersonating target user accounts via account redirection. In one aspect, a request may be received at a service issued from a temporary account of the service accessed by a client application. It may be determined whether the temporary account is stored in a mapping table comprising one or more temporary accounts mapped to a corresponding impersonation token. When it is determined that the temporary account is stored in the mapping table, the corresponding impersonation token mapped to the temporary account may be identified. The request may be processed in an impersonation mode based on the identified impersonation token.
