  • Publication number: 20180337906
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for impersonating target user accounts via account redirection. In one aspect, a request may be received at a service issued from a temporary account of the service accessed by a client application. It may be determined whether the temporary account is stored in a mapping table comprising one or more temporary accounts mapped to a corresponding impersonation token. When it is determined that the temporary account is stored in the mapping table, the corresponding impersonation token mapped to the temporary account may be identified. The request may be processed in an impersonation mode based on the identified impersonation token.

  • Publication number: 20180321305
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) chip for providing a safety-critical value includes first and second processing paths. The first processing path includes a first processing element and is coupled to receive a first input signal on a first input pin and to provide a first output signal that provides the safety-critical value on an output pin. The second processing path includes a second processing element and is coupled to receive a second input signal and to provide a second output signal. The first processing path and the second processing path are independent of each other. A smart comparator on the IC chip receives the first output signal and the second output signal and initiates a remedial action responsive to a difference between the first output signal and the second output signal reaching a configurable threshold.

  • Patent number: 8879728
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards enabling cryptographic key rotation without disrupting cryptographic operations. If key rotation is initiated, a transitional key may be generated by encrypting the current key with a built-in system key. A new key may be generated based one at least one determined key parameter. Next, the new key may be activated by the one or more key holders. If the new key is activated, it may be designated as the new current key. The new current key may be employed to encrypt the transitional key and store it in a key array. Each additional rotated key may be stored in the key array after it is encrypted by the current cryptographic key. Further, in response to a submission of an unencrypted query value, one or more encrypted values that correspond to a determined number of rotated cryptographic keys are generated.

  • Patent number: 8868908
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing cryptographic services to protect guest operating system (OS) images in virtualized computing environments. A hypervisor may trap privileged operations initiated by guest OS images. These trapped operations may be intercepted by a cryptographic module. A hypervisor may trap a write operation made by a guest OS image, and cryptographic module may encrypt the write buffer and return it the hypervisor. A hypervisor may trap a read operation made by a guest OS image, and provide the encrypted data to the cryptographic module for decrypting. If the data is decrypted, the cryptographic module may provide the decrypted data to the hypervisor which provides the decrypted data to the guest OS image. Also, guest OS image context information may be decrypted and encrypted as the guest OS image is scheduled and de-scheduled on physical CPU(s). Further, if necessary entire guest OS images may be encrypted.

  • Patent number: 8712044
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards enabling cryptographic key management without disrupting cryptographic operations. Embodiments may be employed to generate cryptographic keys based on at least one key parameter that may be provided by an administrator. The administrator may generate key managers and key request users that may be linked to particular cryptographic keys. The cryptographic keys may be stored on key exchange servers separate from the key management server. Responsive to a request for a cryptographic key, the key exchange servers may authenticate the key request user associated with the request. The key request may be validated based on at least one key parameter and a portion of the key request. The key exchange server may generate the requested cryptographic keys providing them to the key request user over the network.

  • Patent number: 8678178
Abstract: A modular plastic conveyor belt is designed to turn a tight radius in one direction only. Particularly it is designed for use as a spiral conveyor belt, the belt can turn in the opposite direction, but with a much larger radius. At the outer edge of the belt, the link ends or knuckles are larger and heavier for increased strength in accepting tension at the outer edge of the belt. The outside knuckles or link ends are not only wider than at the inside, but they also are longer, with increased material beyond the rod opening for increased tension strength. By having wider link members at the inner edge, the belt can collapse more closely at the inner edge than would be possible if the turn were in the other direction, providing a tighter radius of turn. This is useful in spiral conveyors which ordinarily turn in only one direction through the entire path of travel.

  • Patent number: 8645012
Abstract: A system for controlling a marine vessel that includes a sonar depth finder configured to display a chart for a body of water. The chart has depth information for the body of water, and is programmed to allow a user to select from a plurality of depths indicated on the sonar depth finder display. The sonar depth finder further is configured to generate a route for the marine vessel. The route includes a path through the body of water where each point along the path is at the desired depth. The system includes a vessel control device in communication with the sonar depth finder. The vessel control device is configured to receive transmissions from the sonar depth finder. The transmissions include the route generated by the sonar depth finder. The vessel control device is further configured to automatically direct the marine vessel along the route.
