  • Publication number: 20220039720
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wearable device with a bridge portion and systems/methods relating to the device. Preferred embodiments may include two flexible wings and a bridge connecting the two wings. In some embodiments, the upper surface of the bridge can be non-adhesive and uncoupled to the flexible wing such that the flexible wing can be decoupled from the bridge when the adhesive is adhered to the surface of a user. The bridge can be narrower in some portions, and extend around the housing of the monitor. The bridge can extend beneath the housing and bisect the two flexible wings.

  • Publication number: 20220039719
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cardiac monitoring device and systems/methods relating to same. Preferred embodiments may include adhesive layers having channels for transpiring moisture to promote long term adhesion of the device to a subject. The adhesive layer may be surrounded by a non-adhesive lining to inhibit substrate layers from folding under the adhesive. In some embodiments, the adhesive layer may be replaceable. In some embodiments, the adhesive layer may extend beneath a substrate coupled to a housing but not be adhered to the overlying substrate layers. The angles of the edges of the adhesive layer may be configured to minimize peeling forces. Substrate layers above the adhesive layer may be perforated to promote transpiration of moisture and/or provide conformability to the substrate. The perforations may promote anisotropic resistance to compression and/or extension of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11216828
Abstract: Total advertising inventory of a broadcast station can be dynamically allocated between local, or station-sold, inventory and general, or network, inventory. The portion of total inventory allocated to local inventory or network inventory can be adjusted based on feedback from an advertising service, and a broadcast log can be generated based on the adjusted allocation. The broadcast log can be delivered to a media automation system associated with a media station which plays out local inventory in accordance with the broadcast log. When the broadcast log indicates that general/network inventory is to be broadcast, the media automation system stops playing-out local inventory, and allows the advertisement system to broadcast network inventory for a period of time indicated by the broadcast log. Broadcast of local inventory can be resumed early, before the time period indicated in the broadcast log has expired.

  • Patent number: 11177058
Abstract: A composite surge arrester assembly and method of construction protects electrical devices from voltage spikes by limiting the voltage supplied to an electric device by shorting to ground any unwanted voltages above a safe threshold. The composite surge arrester assembly forms an arrester array from an alternating arrangement of deformable conductive contact plates, and metal oxide varistor (MOV) blocks. The contact plates bend and have various types of surfaces to create uniform contact with MOV blocks. The MOV blocks are dimensioned to minimize metal mass. An epoxy impregnated fiberglass reinforcement member wraps around the arrester array at an angle between 0° to 90°, and preferably 45°, relative to the axial disposition of arrester array, while also purging air pockets therebetween. The reinforcement member dampens acoustic shock waves from high current impulses while maintaining electrical contact between MOV blocks. A polymer housing encapsulates the epoxy and fiberglass reinforced arrester array.

  • Publication number: 20210182093
Abstract: A cloud traffic migration system may be used to counter suspected harmful traffic. For example, a virtual machine (VM) may have a separate security and networking policy called a VM shell. The VM shell may be placed at the VM's interface as a layer of protection. When suspected harmful traffic is detected inside the VM, multiple mini VMs may be created that replicate some functions of the infected VM and the traffic may be grouped and segregated into categories. Each category of traffic may be routed to a mini VM for further analysis. Any traffic confirmed to be harmful may be kept inside the mini VM and subject to restrictive rules. Such restrictive rules may introduce delays to waste the attackers time or resources as well as obtain data for threat analytics.

  • Publication number: 20210036964
Abstract: Management of immersive reality devices via a reduced competition core network component is disclosed. The reduced competition core network component can preferentially be reserved for immersive reality device data and can therefore exclude some or all other types of data typically associated with conventional wireless network devices, e.g., phone, tablet/laptop computers, IoT devices, etc. This can result in immersive reality data communication that does not have to compete with more generic data types for network or computing resources. Additionally, the reduced competition core network component can be divided into at least one reduced competition user-plane network component and at least one reduced competition control-plane network component. Use of a reduced competition user-plane network component can avoid generating additional carrier network traffic. Further, a reduced competition user-plane network component can facilitate non-carrier entity authentication, security protocols, etc.
