  • Patent number: 10546223
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods facilitate enrollment of authenticating biometric data for authenticating an authorized user via a biometric sensor. Included devices transmit power to a sensor-enabled device that does not have an independent power source without transmitting data to or from the device. Data input devices coupled to the biometric sensor enable user input of non-biometric data, such as an activation code, via the biometric sensor. For biometric sensors comprising fingerprint sensors, finger guides position a finger to contact the sensor at a desired orientation. Systems and methods allow for enrollment of one or more authenticating biometric data templates with or without requiring input of non-biometric authentication data, such as an activation code.

  • Patent number: 10508924
Abstract: A system or a method is provided to provide shopping detours to users during traffic congestions. In particular, the system may detect that a user is experiencing or is about to experience a traffic congestion. The system may then estimate the additional travel time needed to go through the traffic congestion. The system may also find shopping detours which allow the user to take the shopping detours to make purchases and still arrive at the final destination at about the same time as if the user stays in the original route with the traffic congestion.

  • Publication number: 20190328604
Abstract: Improved customizable orthotic/prosthetic braces and a lightweight modular exoskeleton may aid individuals with lower limb motor impairment, including children. These customizable orthotic/prosthetic braces improve the strength and rigidity of such braces without a weight penalty. A structural frame is embedded between an inner shell and outer shell, which comprise materials that are easily moldable to conform to a user's limb. The lightweight modular exoskeleton system provides six (6) joint actuators, which are designed to be modular, that act as the active joints (e.g. hips, knees, and ankles) of the exoskeleton. Additionally, the exoskeleton may also provide four (4) passive joints for inversion/eversion of the legs and feet. Foot, crutch, and hip assemblies may also be provided IN for the exoskeleton.

  • Publication number: 20190332707
Abstract: Some embodiments enable intelligent searching data based on structure and content of models defining structure domains of interest. Embodiments are also capable of simultaneously providing context sensitive reasoning across the domains to find other relationships within the data that are not apparent using traditional search. For a respective domain-specific model, a method or system reasons relationships within the respective domain-specific model. Each relationship is between a keyword of a search query inputted by a user and a field of the domain-specific model. The method reasons the relationships by traversing the domain-specific model using domain-specific rules selected by the keyword. The method maps a first field of a first reasoned relationship to a second field of a second reasoned relationship. The first and second fields are in respective first and second domain-specific models. The method executes the search query based on the mapping, which generates search results presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10382960
Abstract: Techniques are described for cross-device authorization using a wireless network connection. Computing device(s) may broadcast an identification signal indicating that the device is authorized to access a remote service, and is therefore available to provide an authorization token to a receiving device. The receiving device may determine one of the broadcasting device(s) to use for cross-device authorization. The receiving device may send a request, to the determined broadcasting device, for an authorization token to access the remote service. The broadcasting device may receive the request and transmit a message to a server device indicating that an authorization token is to be provided to the receiving device. Alternatively, the authorization token may be sent directly from the broadcasting device to the receiving device (e.g., over the wireless communication network). On receiving the authorization token, the receiving device may use it to access the remote service.

  • Patent number: 10281583
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments for detection of satellite system anomalies. An embodiment operates by receiving satellite signals from a plurality of sources via at least one satellite system receiver and determining the presence of anomalous satellite system activity by comparing an amount of signal strength drop of each of the satellite signals during a time period to a threat detection threshold and by comparing an amount of consistency of the satellite signals during the time period to the threat detection threshold.
