  • Publication number: 20150305349
Abstract: An improved waffle, a device for making the improved waffle, and a method of making the improved waffles are provided. In one embodiment, the waffle includes a side wall, thereby defining a bowl shaped structure. The bowl shaped waffle provides a number of functional advantages over prior art waffles. For example, they can be used to create full healthy breakfast meals including serving as a bowl for oatmeal, scrambled eggs, cut fruit, etc. The waffle also makes breakfast foods more portable as there is no need to clean and store a traditional non-edible bowl. Also, the waffle eliminates waste as there is nothing to discard (e.g., paper bowl or styrofoam bowls). A device for making waffles and a method of making waffles related products are also provided. The method and device can be employed to make a frozen breakfast waffle product for sale at groceries. The waffles according to some of the disclose embodiments are made of a slightly raised flour batter.

  • Publication number: 20150239283
Abstract: In embodiments, an artwork and a method for creating an artwork are disclosed. A method comprises texturing a surface by applying a substantially silicone-free caulk to a substrate, applying one or more water-soluble aniline-containing dyes to the textured surface to produce a desired appearance, and applying a polyurethane-containing protective coating over the substrate, substantially silicone-free caulk, and one or more water-soluble aniline-containing dyes collectively. The artwork may include a textured surface formed upon a substrate using a substantially silicone-free caulk, one or more water-soluble aniline-containing dyes applied to the textured surface, and an oil-based polyurethane-containing protective coating over the textured surface and water-soluble aniline containing dyes.

  • Publication number: 20150047298
Abstract: A method of forming a vacuum packed compressed netting sleeve for in situ formation of a compost filter sock comprises the steps of: providing a sleeve of netting material having at least one open end; bunching the sleeve of netting material primarily along a longitudinal axis, whereby each open end of the netting material remains accessible to form a compression bundle netting material; placing the compression bundle netting material in a sealable weatherproof bag; drawing a vacuum in the bag to compress the compression bundle netting material; and sealing the bag. A mechanical fastener capable of securing a compression bundle netting sleeve in position may be provided within in the bag. The bag may efficiently store remnants of the netting sleeve at the end of given manufacturing runs.

  • Patent number: 7708777
Abstract: A modular disc prosthesis system is provided that allows a disc prosthesis to be constructed, either pre- or intra-operatively, to have a desired degree of freedom or constraint when positioned between endplates of adjacent vertebrae. In particular, the components can be assembled to form a disc prosthesis having a center of rotation that is constrained or fixed such that, when the disc prosthesis is implanted between endplates of adjacent vertebrae, the adjacent vertebrae have one degree of freedom and move about a fixed center of rotation. Alternatively, one or more of the same components and one or more additional components of the system can be used to construct a disc prosthesis having a center of rotation that is unconstrained or that floats such that, when the disc prosthesis is implanted between the endplates of adjacent vertebrae, the adjacent vertebrae have multiple degrees of freedom and can move about a floating or moving center of rotation, i.e., a center of rotation that is not fixed.

  • Patent number: 7664667
Abstract: A computing environment or system is disclosed for use by a homeowner for real-time, on-line scheduling of a visit by technician or repairman to diagnose and, if authorized by the user, repair a home appliance such as a refrigerator or washing machine. The system is desirably accessible over the Internet by a customer using a Web browser wherein an interactive screen prompts the user and suggests product information and a nature of the problem. The system desirably obtains and provides to the user a schedule of available appointments for a manufacturer's factory service based on the product and customer information and location of the product. Where factory service is not available in the locality of the user, the system obtains and provides one or more local manufacturer authorized service providers. After selection of a service provider by the user, available appointments are provided. The user selects and confirms one of the appointments.

  • Patent number: 7179232
Abstract: A bone marrow sampling device is provided, including an outer cannula having a sidewall with a plurality of openings and a distal tissue penetrating tip. An inner cannula is positioned within the outer cannula, and includes a sidewall with at least one opening. Selective relative movement of the inner cannula and the outer cannula enables the device to be configured in multiple bone marrow sampling modes in which the at least one opening in the sidewall of the inner cannula is aligned with different openings in the sidewall of the outer cannula such that bone marrow can be drawn into the inner lumen of the inner cannula from different radial and longitudinal positions external to the sidewall of the outer cannula without the need to reposition the outer cannula.

  • Publication number: 20040237913
Abstract: The differences in the Nanninga Diesel, as pertaining to any other diesel engine, is The lack of cylinder heads, valves, valve operating mechanisms and camshafts. What is Unique about the Nanninga Diesel is the use of 4 crankshafts, 32 pistons and 16 cylinders In a box configuration. The pistons uncover ports for intake and exhaust, leaving no need For valves, a blower pushes the air through the cylinders and supercharges. The Gear Reduction from the 4 crankshaft gears to the output gear will increase torque by about 7 Times. There are 4 cylinders firing at exactly the same time, one in each row of banks. This puts 2 impulses on each crankshaft during one time of injection. All cylinders fire in One revolution of the crankshafts. To my knowledge a diesel engine of this design has Never been built.
