  • Publication number: 20050017140
Abstract: When numerous objects must be mounted in a confined area, a mounting board can be used to support the objects in an orderly manner. Current mounting board designs are time consuming and labor intensive to use, require numerous tools to use, and may damage the surface on to which it mounts. The present mount board design and method of manufacturing comprises a sheet member having a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of raised members integrally formed from the sheet member for receiving connection devices, wherein the raised members are configured on the sheet member to mount the longitudinal members to the mounting board in both parallel and perpendicular directions relative to the longitudinal axis by using the connection devices.

  • Patent number: 6375279
Abstract: A fluid compensator is provided in a hydraulic control unit of vehicular brake system. The fluid compensator permits additional displacement of a master cylinder piston during anti-lock braking events only by storing fluid in the hydraulic control unit. The additional displacement moves a seal mounted on the master cylinder piston away from a compensator port orifice, thereby preventing repeated “nibbling” of the seal which can cause premature seal failure.

  • Patent number: 6059831
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a method for implanting a uni-condylar knee prosthesis. The method includes steps for preparing the bone surfaces of both the femoral and tibial effected compartments. The femoral compartment is prepared by making a distal cut, a posterior cuts and a posterior chamfer cut. Holes that correspond to posts on the femoral component are also prepared. The tibial compartment is prepared using a cutting guide and following the sclerotic bone formation on the proximal tibia. At least one hole is prepared in the sloped cut tibial surface to use for alignment when cementing the tibial component that has an alignment peg.

  • Patent number: 5877096
Abstract: A non-woven needle-punched filter fabric for use in a geocomposite having a filter face and a laminating face, the fabric having a first filter and cushion zone adjacent the filter face produced from spun bond, continuous filament, a second stiff and bend resistant zone adjacent the first zone produced from a blend of staple non-fusible fiber and staple fusible fiber, and a third zone at the laminating face produced from fiber from both the first and second zones whereby the third zone has a hairy characteristic which facilitates laminating the fabric to a drainage net or a geogrid.

  • Patent number: 5685032
Abstract: A portable spa including a cover having two rigidly molded, interlocking halves, designed to conform with the contour of the rim of the spa. The rim includes a vertical extension which interfits with an extrusion used to attach an interchangeable decorative vinyl-covered skirt about the side surface of the spa. The spa structure is supported by an integral molded bottom pan, which provides an upper edge or rim against which the lower edge of the skirt is secured.

  • Patent number: 5685031
Abstract: A portable spa cover having three rigidly molded, interlocking pieces including two mirror image end pieces and a center piece and designed to conform with the contour of the rim of a spa. Each cover piece has an undersurface and outer surface with a plurality of radial support ribs being formed in the undersurface to provide strength and rigidity. Elongated, tapered male and female hinge members are integrally molded as part of the respective end pieces and center piece and permit the cover pieces to be engaged and disengaged from one another when at an angle with respect to one another, while remaining firmly locked together when the pieces all lie horizontally. The horizontal engagement is further facilitated by resilient fingers which extend out from the male projection at intervals along the cover edge and provide a resiliently biased interlocking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5133383
Abstract: An axicage multistage choke (10) wherein fluid flow is caused to impinge upon itself at each stage. Fluid entering inlet (14) is distributed by primary annulus (32) around the interior of upper cage (30). Fluid enters upper cage port (36) and impinges on itself in axial chamber (37). Fluid leaves chamber (37) through stem slots (38) into secondary annulus (42). From secondary annulus (42) fluid passes through lower cage ports (46) into axial chamber (47), again impinging on itself and dissipating energy. Fluid leaves choke (10) through outlet (16). Additional stages maybe added depending on the flow rate or pressure drop desired in the valve.
