  • Publication number: 20150230634
Abstract: A planter mounting device has a back member integrated with a perpendicularly oriented intermediate member. This intermediate member interfaces with a tongue like mounting plate at a curved surface. This closed surface is utilized to place a planter, vase, or pot against it thereby providing horizontal support therefore. Another vertically oriented tongue is disposed at the top portion of the back member; this slides under the depression or contoured indentation formed by the edge of a pot or plant. Utilizing plastic ties, screws, or a strip of material a pot, planter or vase can be mounted on a tree, post or plastic support. A unique mounting system is created from a series of T Joints, connecting members and elbow joints.

  • Publication number: 20150221519
Abstract: Vacuum-integrated photoresist-less methods and apparatuses for forming metal hardmasks can provide sub-30 nm patterning resolution. A metal-containing (e.g., metal salt or organometallic compound) film that is sensitive to a patterning agent is deposited on a semiconductor substrate. The metal-containing film is then patterned directly (i.e., without the use of a photoresist) by exposure to the patterning agent in a vacuum ambient to form the metal mask. For example, the metal-containing film is photosensitive and the patterning is conducted using sub-30 nm wavelength optical lithography, such as EUV lithography.

  • Patent number: 9095305
Abstract: A method of monitoring a patient's foot provides an open platform for receiving at least one foot. The platform has at least one temperature sensor for generating a plurality of temperature data values after receipt of the at least one foot. The method then forms a thermogram of the sole of the at least one foot from the temperature data, and determines whether the thermogram presents at least one of a plurality of prescribed patterns. Next, the method produces output information indicating the emergence of a pre-ulcer or progression of a known pre-ulcer in the at least one foot as a function of whether the thermogram is determined to present the at least one pattern.

  • Publication number: 20150213392
Abstract: A novel method of using task fingerprinting to predict outcome measures such quality, errors, and the likelihood of cheating, particularly as applied to crowd sourced tasks. The technique focuses on the way workers work rather than the products they produce. The technique captures behavioral traces from online crowd workers and uses them to build predictive models of task performance. The effectiveness of the approach is evaluated across three contexts including classification, generation, and comprehension tasks.

  • Publication number: 20150213647
Abstract: Systems and methods of determining the volume and dimensions of a three-dimensional object using a dimensioning system are provided. The dimensioning system can include an image sensor, a non-transitory, machine-readable, storage, and a processor. The dimensioning system can select and fit a three-dimensional packaging wireframe model about each three-dimensional object located within a first point of view of the image sensor. Calibration is performed to calibrate between image sensors of the dimensioning system and those of the imaging system. Calibration may occur pre-run time, in a calibration mode or period. Calibration may occur during a routine. Calibration may be automatically triggered on detection of a coupling between the dimensioning and the imaging systems.

  • Publication number: 20150190059
Abstract: A method and apparatus for evaluating foot inflammation each uses at least one temperature detection modality to form a first thermogram and a second thermogram of the sole of at least one foot. Each thermogram forms a substantially continuous set of two-dimensional temperature values across the sole of the (at least one) foot. The thermograms have features; namely, the first thermogram has first features and the second thermogram has second features. The method and apparatus thus control a device to apply at least one transformation to the first and second thermograms to align the first features with corresponding second features, and determine, at any thermogram location, if at least one of the thermograms presents one of a plurality of patterns indicative of inflammation. Finally, the method and apparatus each produce output information indicating the result of the determination of whether the thermograms present one of the plurality of patterns.

  • Patent number: 9075670
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for stream processing with contextual data affinity. One of the methods includes receiving an event at a computing node of a stream processing system that includes one or more computing nodes and data representing a topology of functional modules. At a particular functional module of the topology, an operation that requests access to context data related to the event is determined based on a data attribute of the event. The context data is partitioned among the one or more computing nodes. Context data related to the event is obtained from the computing node. The operation of the particular functional module is processed using the context data, and a modified event is generated. The modified event is provided to a subsequent functional module according to the topology of functional modules.

  • Patent number: 9070012
Abstract: A system and method are provided for uncued discrimination of a bated spatial pattern in an image electronically rendered as a frame of image data points. A reference unit establishes a general dictionary of predefined multi-dimensional reference functions, and a candidate detection unit pre-screens the frame of image data points to identify therein at least one candidate grouping of image data points collectively indicative of a predetermined spatial pattern. A sparse approximation unit coupled to the candidate detection and reference units computes for each candidate grouping an optimal reference function defined with respect to the general dictionary. The optimal reference function of each candidate grouping is projected onto a corresponding portion of the image data frame defined thereby. Each projected portion is extracted from the image data frame to leave a residual image data frame which, during iterative execution, provides the image data frame for the immediately succeeding iteration.

  • Publication number: 20150079795
Abstract: A plurality of substrate processing devices are disposed in a separated manner within a shared ambient environment. A conveyance device is disposed within the shared ambient environment and is defined to move a substrate through and between each of the substrate processing devices in a continuous manner. Some substrate processing devices are defined to perform dry substrate processing operations in which an energized reactive environment is created in exposure to the substrate in an absence of liquid material. Some substrate processing devices are defined to perform wet substrate processing operations in which at least one material in a liquid state is applied to the substrate. In one embodiment, a complementary pair of dry and wet substrate processing devices are disposed in the shared ambient environment in a sequential manner relative to movement of the substrate by the conveyance device.
