  • Publication number: 20030234505
Abstract: A multi-stage torsion axle that has a first stage torsion assembly positioned within a second stage torsion assembly. The first stage torsion assembly has a square first stage shaft within a first elastomeric bushing. The second stage torsion assembly has a square tubular second stage shaft within a second elastomeric bushing, the second stage shaft fitting around the first stage torsion assembly. A hollow square tubular housing fits around the second stage assembly. The resilience of the first stage torsion assembly is less than the resilience of the second stage torsion assembly. A stop mechanism directly transfers torque from the first stage shaft to the second stage shaft when the first stage has rotated more than a predetermined amount relative to the second stage shaft.

  • Publication number: 20020063422
Abstract: A bolt-together trailer frame that can have either a torsion axle or a sprung axle attached thereto without modification of the trailer frame side members. The side frame of the trailer includes at least one axle cut-out with an axle cut-out reinforcement plate attached about the cut-out. A torsion axle is welded to the axle cut-out reinforcement plates. A sprung axle is attached to the trailer frame with a plurality of spring hangers to which leaf springs are connected. • Patent number: 6254054
Abstract: A quick release mechanism for a conveyance seat comprising: a base plate rigidly attachable to a floor portion of a conveyance connected to a riser member by way of a cammed locking means. Wherein, the cammed locking means has a “T” lock that may be positioned so as to secure the riser member, and a locking cam which further secures the riser member by reducing the amount of sideways movement between the riser member and the base plate, and a compression cam which when rotated in a locked position pulls the “T” lock in an upward direction, and a spring which applies a force in a downward direction when the compression cams are in a lock position. The seat mechanism is further secured by a plurality of hub-like projections which may be received by a plurality of detents included in the base plate.

  • Patent number: 6244384
Abstract: A hand held transmission fluid exchanger including a housing block having parallel new and used fluid passages therein, such passages being joined by a return passage having a pressure relief valve therein. The method involves connecting such exchanger with a conventional on-demand transmission fluid supply system having a meter therein and holding the dispensing gun open so that flow is controlled by valves incorporated in the exchanger.

  • Patent number: 6227237
Abstract: A wall mountable rack-like structure that may be used to conveniently store and at the same time drain one or more hoses commonly used to convey liquid substances such as hydraulic liquids, fuels, coolants and the like. The structure includes a horizontal bracket having a plurality of projections that define a number slots capable of receiving an end portion of a hose. The horizontal bracket is spaced at a vertical distance below the a horizontal top portion of the rack. The vertical distance is selected so that hose end couplings having spring-biased, quick connect/disconnect valves may be snugly inserted between the bracket and the top portion. When the hose end couplings are inserted between the bracket and the top portion, the tip of the spring biased valve engages the top portion and is depressed, thereby opening the valve and allowing any liquid within the hose to downwardly drain to the horizontal bottom of the rack.

  • Patent number: 6102438
Abstract: A quick-to-the-ground integrated vehicle leveling and stabilizing apparatus which may be easily and accurately connected to the underside of a vehicle and which may be extended to an operative position and retracted to a storage position with a minimum of operator time and effort. The components of the present invention are self-aligning so that upon being extended to the operative position, the components are automatically properly positioned for the subsequent leveling and stabilizing operations. The apparatus has integral components that need not be separated from the leveling and stabilizing apparatus itself when the apparatus is retracted to a storage position. Furthermore, the apparatus has increased strength and durability relative to known devices.
