  • Patent number: 6035903
Abstract: An automatic transmission fluid changer for connection with a cooling circuit of an automatic transmission, including a used fluid receptacle for collecting fluid pumped from the transmission and a new fluid receptacle for containing new fluid supplied to the transmission. The device monitors the quantity change in the new and used receptacles and regulates the flow of new fluid into the transmission in order to replace the used fluid expelled from the transmission with an equal amount of new fluid.

  • Patent number: 5975497
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi piece trunnion. More specifically, this invention relates to a multi piece trunnion for use in scissor-type jacks. The multi piece trunnion allows the use of a trunnion segment with an enlarged center section without a corresponding increase in the size of the channel members of the jack. The enlarged trunnion segment increases the load capacity if the scissor jack without a significant size or weight increase.

  • Patent number: 5915499
Abstract: Method and apparatus for changing transmission fluid by draining out used fluid and pouring in fresh fluid until the electrical conductivity of the outflowing fluid is substantially equal to the electrical conductivity of the inflowing fresh fluid.

  • Patent number: 5901980
Abstract: A quick-to-the-ground integrated vehicle leveling and stabilizing apparatus which may be easily and accurately connected to the underside of a vehicle and which may be extended to an operative position and retracted to a storage position with a minimum of operator time and effort. The components of the present invention are self-aligning so that upon being extended to the operative position, the components are automatically properly positioned for the subsequent leveling and stabilizing operations. The apparatus has integral components that need not be separated from the leveling and stabilizing apparatus itself when the apparatus is retracted to a storage position. Furthermore, the apparatus has increased strength and durability relative to known devices.

  • Patent number: 5743357
Abstract: An automatic hand held transmission fluid changer includes a compact housing internally plumbed with a pair of open ended drain and supply tubes for connection at respective first ends with a pair of hoses connected at their respective opposite ends to remote waste and unused fluid tanks. The respective tubes include second ends for connection with a second pair of hoses leading to respective upstream and downstream transmission components for, respectively, withdrawing used fluid from and introducing unused fluid to a transmission. A demand pump is connected in fluid circuit with the supply hose to flow unused fluid from the unused fluid tank to the supply tube. A controller is provided and acts to receive an electric signal proportional to the rate of fluid flow from a flow meter in the drain tube and to manipulate a control valve in the supply tube such that an automatic balancing of flow rates is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5570924
Abstract: A scissors actuated slide-out apparatus including a slidably expandable and retractable slide-out frame cooperating with a parent RV main frame to form a drive compartment into which is mounted a powered scissors drive mechanism including a plurality of scissors linkages pivotally joined with a drive screw interposed between opposing pivots such that rotation of the screw expands or retracts the scissors thereby expanding or retracting the slide-out. The drive mechanisms' extruded nature enables relatively simple installation and removal as well as cost efficient maintenance thereof.

  • Patent number: 5348264
Abstract: A quick release pedestal seat mount to support a passenger seat from the floor of a recreational vehicle includes a base plate for mounting on the floor of the recreational vehicle and a seat mounting box to which a seat may be attached. The seat mounting box may be quickly secured to the base plate by means of a set of hold down cleats which fit engagingly into a complimentary set of hold down openings in the base plate. The seat mounting box is further locked in place by means of a pair of dogs attached to a kick release handle and received into a pair of locking slots in the base plates. A simple tug on the kick release handle disengages the dogs from the locking slots and pulls the seat mounting box rearward, disengaging the hold down cleats. The seat mounting box is further formed so that it will deform under the impact of a frontal collision in such a manner as to cushion the impact of the collision to the seat occupant.

  • Patent number: 5348330
Abstract: A recreational vehicle with a floor support design that integrates two pair of jack assemblies into the undercarriage frame. The jack mounting housing is a load bearing frame member to which the jack assemblies are mounted. The jacks in one embodiment are placed in a diagonal direction to the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle at the four corners of the carriage floor. The jack assembly incorporates a channel shaped leg and linkage arrangement which internest upon retraction in covering relation under a jack screw.

  • Patent number: 5222754
Abstract: A trailer stabilizer incorporating an elongated housing rigidly secured on its rear end to a trailer tongue and projecting forwardly coextensive with a friction strap disposed in overlying relationship with respect thereto. Mounted on the interior of the forward extremity of such housing and strap are a pair of friction pads. Sandwiched between such pads is the rear extremity of an elongated friction bar projecting rearwardly from a mount on the towing vehicle trailer hitch. A tensioning control device is mounted on the forward extremity of the housing in overlying relationship with respect to the strap and includes a pusher contacting such strap along its longitudinal center line to urge it toward the opposed wall of the housing to thereby maintain a uniform compressive force on the friction pads. An adjustment screw is provided for periodically adjusting the compressive force maintained by such tensioning control device.
