  • Publication number: 20210378743
Abstract: A catheter system (100) for treating a treatment site (106) within or adjacent to the vessel wall of a blood vessel (108), or the heart valve, includes an energy source (124), a balloon (104), an energy guide (122A), and a balloon integrity protection system (142). The energy source (124) generates energy. The balloon (104) is positionable substantially adjacent to the treatment site (106). The balloon (104) has a balloon wall (130) that defines a balloon interior (146). The balloon (104) is configured to retain a balloon fluid (132) within the balloon interior (146). The energy guide (122A) is configured to receive energy from the energy source (124) and guide the energy into the balloon interior (146) so that plasma is formed in the balloon fluid (132) within the balloon interior (146). The balloon integrity protection system (142) is operatively coupled to the balloon (104).

  • Publication number: 20210337736
Abstract: A pollen collection device for collecting pollen from crop plants grown in rows includes a housing assembly configured to be mounted on a base for being transported through a row of crop plants. The housing assembly receives at least a portion of the plants as the housing assembly is transported through the row of crop plants. An agitation assembly is attached to the housing assembly for agitating the plants as the housing assembly is transported through the row of crop plants to displace pollen from the plants. A pollen collection assembly is attached to the housing assembly for collecting the pollen displaced from the plants as the housing assembly is transported through the row of crop plants.

  • Publication number: 20210234428
Abstract: A portable electrical assembly includes an electric motor, a power module, and an electric motor power cord. The electric motor power cord is placed within a cavity of a housing of the portable electrical assembly and is operatively connected to the electric motor at first end and to the power module at a second end. The electric motor power cord is configured to move in response to the movement of the electric motor without the creation of sharp bends along its length as the electric motor moves between all of its possible operating positions including an extended position and a resting position and a plurality of intermediate position between the extended and resting position.

  • Publication number: 20210154232
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of manipulating ARID5B expression in immune cells such NK cells, T cells, and T cell and NK cell progenitors to enhance their persistence and function in vivo. Also provided herein are modified immune cells and compositions comprising such modified cells for anti-cancer, anti-viral, and other immunotherapies. In some embodiments, immune cells are genetically modified to increase ARID5B expression and, thus, improve persistence, increase in vivo anti-tumor efficacy, and increase viability and functionality of the modified cells after freezing and thawing.

  • Patent number: 11013894
Abstract: Medical devices, medical device systems, and methods for using the same are disclosed. An example medical device system may include a guide catheter having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The guide catheter may be designed to guide a therapeutic catheter to a target site. A guidewire may be disposed within the lumen of the guide catheter. The system may also include a trap balloon catheter including a catheter shaft and a balloon coupled to the catheter shaft. The trap balloon catheter may be designed to extend through the lumen of the guide catheter to a position adjacent to the distal end of the guide catheter. A trap balloon retainer may be coupled to the catheter shaft. The trap balloon retainer may be designed to prevent a distal end of the trap balloon catheter from extending distally beyond the distal end of the guide catheter.

  • Publication number: 20200254618
Abstract: An improved method, system, and apparatus is provided to implement a general architecture for robot systems. A mode execution module is provided to universally execute execution modes on different robotic system. A system includes an execution module that receives software instructions in a normalized programming language. The system also includes an interface having a translation layer that converts the software instructions from the normalized language into robot-specific instructions that operate in a particular robotic system. The system further includes a controller that is communicatively coupled to the interface, wherein the controller receives the robot-specific instructions. Moreover, the system includes a robotic device that is operatively controlled by the controller by execution of the robot-specific instructions.

  • Patent number: 10713384
Abstract: A relational database is transformed so as to obfuscate secure and/or private aspects of data contained in the database, while preserving salient elements of the data to facilitate data analysis. A restructured database is generatively modeled, and the model is sampled to create synthetic data that maintains sufficiently similar (or the same) mathematical properties and relations as the original data stored in the database. In one example, various statistics at the intersection of related database tables are determined by modeling data using an iterative multivariate approach. Synthetic data may be sampled from any part of the modeled database, wherein the synthesized data is “realistic” in that it statistically mimics the original data in the database. The generation of such synthetic data allows publication of bulk data freely and on-demand (e.g., for data analysis purposes), without the risk of security/privacy breaches.
