Abstract: An electrical connector includes a fastening part, a connector body assembled under the fastening part and defining at least one receiving groove at a mating end thereof, a base board positioned under the connector body, and a shielding shell. The connector body and the base board can be firmly fastened in the shielding shell by means of the fastening part. At least one end edge of the shielding shell is bent inward to form a positioning tail positioned in the receiving groove to position the mating end of the connector body with a front face of the mating end being flush with the end edge of the shielding shell and a contact face of the connector body being substantially flush with a top edge of the positioning tail, so as to avoid the mating end of the connector body wrapping in use.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a base board having a plurality of first contact pads and second contact pads exposed on one end of the base board, a plurality of first terminals each having one end thereof connected with the corresponding first contact pad of the base board, a plurality of second terminals each having one end thereof arranged alternately with the first terminals and connected with the corresponding second contact pad of the base board, and an insulating housing having a window. The other end of the first terminal is slanted downward at an angle and then curved upward back to form a barb-like contact portion. The other end of the second terminal defines a contact protrusion. The base board together with the first terminals and the second terminals are disposed in the insulating housing. The contact portions and the contact protrusions are exposed outside through the window.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a card reader having communicating function which includes: a top cover; a bottom cover having a first open slot at one side; a printed circuit board; a first memory insertion slot allowing a first removable memory card to be inserted; a processor for controlling the access of first removable memory card; a wireless communication module; a card reader controller; a connector; a charging circuit; a rechargeable battery; and a voltage regulation circuit; such that a portable electronic device is able to access the data in the first removable memory card with a wireless means, or a mainframe is able to access the data in the first removable memory card through the connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a fastening part, a connector body assembled under the fastening part and defining at least one receiving groove at a mating end thereof, a base board positioned under the connector body, and a shielding shell. The connector body and the base board can be firmly fastened in the shielding shell by means of the fastening part. At least one end edge of the shielding shell is bent inward to form a positioning tail positioned in the receiving groove to position the mating end of the connector body with a front face of the mating end being flush with the end edge of the shielding shell and a contact face of the connector body being substantially flush with a top edge of the positioning tail, so as to avoid the mating end of the connector body wrapping in use.

Abstract: A fuel cell includes a reaction chamber, at least one fuel chip stored in the reaction chamber, an electrolyte chamber communicated with the reaction chamber, electrolyte installed in the electrolyte chamber. The control element is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the control element avoids the electrolyte flowing from the electrolyte chamber into the reaction chamber. In the second position, the control element allows the electrolyte to flow from the electrolyte chamber into the reaction chamber for reacting with the fuel chips for generating electricity. Alternatively, a pump is used to for pumping vapor into the reaction chamber for reacting with the fuel chips for generating electricity.

Abstract: In an aspect, a system for recording and displaying the status of a container includes a recording assembly and a displaying assembly. The recording assembly includes a keypad via which data are entered and a transmitter for transmitting the data in a cable-free manner. The displaying assembly includes a receiver for receiving the data from the transmitter and a display for displaying the data. In another aspect, a system for detecting and displaying the status of a container includes a detecting assembly and a displaying assembly. The detecting assembly includes a probe extending into the container for detecting a factor of the status of the container and producing data representative of the factor and a transmitter for transmitting the signal in a cable-free manner. The displaying assembly includes a receiver for receiving the data from the transmitter and a display for displaying the data.

Abstract: A multi-purpose warning device includes a cylinder for receiving at least one battery, a bracket mounted on the cylinder, a flashlight head pivotally mounted on the bracket, a socket movably mounted on the cylinder between a first position where the flashlight head is at least partially received therein and the bracket is received therein, three legs each including a first end pivotally connected with the socket and a second end pivotally connected with the cylinder so that they can be closed so as to form a cylindrical handle and opened in order to act as legs, and three connectors each connected between two of the legs. The socket includes an enlarged portion for receiving a portion of the flashlight head. Each of the connectors is a toggle.

Abstract: A vacuum storage device includes a can, a cap for closing the can, an inflatable seal for better sealing a gap between the can and the cap and a pump for pumping air from the can to the exterior and into the seal. The cap includes a collar and a disk formed on an internal face of the collar, thus defining an upper space in the collar above the disk for receiving the pump and a lower space in the collar under the disk for receiving the seal. The cap may include an annular rib formed on a lower side of the disk, and the seal may be installed between the collar and the annular rib. The annular rib may include an annular flange for retaining the seal in position. The pump may include a first duct and a second duct. The first duct extends through an orifice defined in the disk within the annular rib so that air can be pumped from the can through the duct when the cap is mounted on the can.

The luminescent net includes a first group of luminescent strips extending in a first direction and a second group of luminescent strips extending in a second direction. The second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. Each of the luminescent strips includes a body of a luminescent material and a pair of wires each including a portion embedded in the body and another portion exposed from the body for electric connection with a power supply. The luminescent net includes a first bus electrically connected in parallel with each of the luminescent strips of the first group and a second bus electrically connected in parallel with each of the luminescent strips of the second group.

Abstract: A depression container comprises a vessel including a compartment and a cover for enclosing and thus sealing the compartment. An air pump draws air out of the compartment and a pressure-activated switch controls on/off of the air pump. The pressure-activated switch detects an internal pressure in the compartment. The air pump is turned on when the internal pressure is higher than a predetermined first pressure value. The air pump is turned off when the internal pressure is lower than a predetermined second pressure value. In an alternative embodiment, the pressure-activated switch detects a pressure difference resulting from a closing motion of the cover on the vessel and turns the air pump on to thereby draw air out of the compartment of the vessel. The air pump is turned off when an internal pressure in the compartment detected by the pressure-activated switch is lower than a predetermined pressure value.

Abstract: A system includes a computer for receiving emails and sending a signal after receiving an email and a device for receiving the signal from the computer and notifying of the receipt of the email. The device includes a casing, a circuit board received in the casing for electric connection with the computer and a signaling element in electric connection with the circuit board. A central processor unit is installed on the circuit board. The signaling element is a speaker or a luminescent strip. In an aspect, the device includes a wire leading from the circuit board. A plug is formed at an end of the wire. In another aspect, the device includes a wireless transmitter for electric connection with the personal computer and sending a wireless signal and a wireless receiver in electric connection with the circuit board and for receiving the wireless signal.

Abstract: A luminescent book includes a frame. A luminescent panel, a film switch, a circuit board and a back plate are sequentially mounted on the frame. The circuit board is electrically connected with the luminescent panel and the film switch for providing information in several modes. The luminescent panel includes a plurality of areas each of which is formed with a pattern and can be activated regardless of the other. A speaker is electrically connected with the circuit board. In a first mode, the patterns are highlighted sequentially. When a pattern is highlighted, sound is provided. The process repeats once if the first button is pressed within a period of time after the last pattern is highlighted and ends if otherwise. In a second mode, one of the patterns can be pressed so that it is highlighted before sound representative of the pressed pattern is provided. The process repeats if any of the patterns is pressed within a period of time after the sound is provided and ends if otherwise.

The substrate defines a recess for receiving a battery. The luminescent laminate includes two leads for contacting the battery. In another aspect, the luminescent mouse pad further includes a transparent decorative layer for insertion between the window and the luminescent laminate. The transparent decorative layer is printed with a pattern. The pattern is transparent. The substrate defines a slit through which the transparent decorative layer can be inserted into and removed from a pocket defined between substrate and the cover.

Abstract: A depression cap comprises a first end and a second end, the second end having a compartment defined therein for engaging with a nose of a bottle. An air pump is provided for drawing air out of the bottle. A pressure-activated switch is provided for controlling on/off of the air pump. The pressure-activated switch is capable of detecting an internal pressure in the bottle. The air pump is turned on when the internal pressure is higher than a predetermined first pressure value. The air pump is turned off when the internal pressure is lower than a predetermined second pressure value that is smaller than the predetermined first pressure value.
