  • Publication number: 20130029083
Abstract: A thin plastic casing with a decorative outer film and a manufacturing method thereof are revealed. First provide an outer film that is a fabric layer or a leather layer. Then arrange a thermoplastic rubber (TPR) adhesive layer on an inner surface of the outer film. Next fix the outer film flatly in a cavity of an injection mold of a thin plastic casing while an outer periphery of the outer film is over an outer boundary of the cavity. Then inject the thin plastic casing to the TPR adhesive layer by plastic injection molding. The outer boundary of the cavity is over a boundary line of the thin plastic casing to form a thinner material overflow area. Cut the flash to get a thin plastic casing with a decorative outer film. Thus adhesion strength between the outer film and the thin plastic casing and product quality are improved.

  • Publication number: 20130029071
Abstract: A thin metal casing with plastic parts and a manufacturing method thereof are revealed. A thin metal casing already formed having on one surface processed and coated with a decorative outer layer is provided. A thermoplastic rubber (TPR) adhesive layer is disposed on an unprocessed surface of the thin metal casing. The TPR adhesive layer is synthesized by butadiene-styrene block copolymer and hydrocarbon petroleum resin. Then the thin metal casing with the TPR adhesive layer is set and fixed in a cavity of an injection molding mold. Next plastic parts are formed on the TPR adhesive layer of the thin metal casing by plastic injection molding. The plastic parts are melted and connected to the TPR adhesive layer integrally by pressure and temperature of injection material. Simultaneously a part of the TPR adhesive layer is infiltrated into existing micro concave holes on surface of the thin metal casing.

  • Publication number: 20130022800
Abstract: A surface film of a thin plastic casing composite and an application method thereof are revealed. The surface film includes a decorative outer layer with a thickness of 0.2-0.6 mm, an intermediate heat absorption and insulation layer with a thickness of 0.2-0.5 mm, and an inner adhesive layer with a thickness of 40-60 ?m. The layers are laminated to form a thin film. In use, set the surface in a cavity of an injection mold and form a thin plastic casing on the inner adhesive layer of the surface film to produce a composite. The thin plastic casing and the inner adhesive layer are melted and integrated by pressure and temperature of injection material. A part of the inner adhesive layer is infiltrated into pores of the intermediate heat absorption and insulation layer. Thus the connection strength and adhesion between the surface film and the thin plastic casing are increased.

  • Publication number: 20120328826
Abstract: A composite board formed by a metal substrate connected to a decorative outer layer and a method for manufacturing the same are revealed. A first thermoplastic rubber (TPR) adhesive layer synthesized by butadiene-styrene block copolymer and hydrocarbon petroleum resin is disposed on the metal substrate by hot press. A part of the first TPR adhesive layer with a thickness of 40-50 ?m is infiltrated into micro concave holes on the metal substrate. A second TPR adhesive layer is attached to the decorative outer layer by a roller without being infiltrated into micro holes on the decorative outer layer. Then the metal substrate and the decorative outer layer are treated by hot press laminating to form an integral composite board due to the first and the second TPR adhesive layers connected tightly.
