  • Publication number: 20140263958
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of fabricating an image sensor device, such as a BSI image sensor, and more particularly, a method of forming a dielectric film in a radiation-absorption region without using a conventional plasma etching causing roughness on the surface and non-uniformity within a die and a wafer. The method includes providing layers comprising a substrate having radiation sensors adjacent its front surface, an anti-reflective layer formed over the back surface of the substrate, a sacrificial dielectric layer formed over the anti-reflective layer, and a conductive layer formed over the sacrificial dielectric layer in a radiation-blocking region. The method further includes removing the sacrificial dielectric layer in the radiation-absorption region completely by a highly selective etching process and forming a dielectric film on the anti-reflective layer by deposition such as CVD or PVD while precisely controlling the thickness.

  • Publication number: 20130058597
Abstract: A sliding rail assembly having a low profile characteristic for use in a server or low profile drawer includes a pressure member at the inner rail thereof, a spring strip at the intermediate rail thereof, two stop blocks at the subsidiary rail thereof and a retaining spring member at the outer rail thereof. When the intermediate rail is extended out of the outer rail, the stop blocks of the subsidiary rail that is connected to the intermediate rail are engaged with the retaining spring member to prohibit retraction of the intermediate rail. When pushing back the intermediate rail, the pressure member forces down the spring strip to move the retaining spring member away from the two stop blocks of the subsidiary rail, allowing the intermediate rail to be received in the outer rail.

  • Patent number: 8115500
Abstract: Test structures and methods for measuring contact and via parasitic capacitance in an integrated circuit are provided. The accuracy of contact and via capacitance measurements are improved by eliminating not-to-be-measured capacitance from the measurement results. The capacitance is measured on a target test structure that has to-be-measured contact or via capacitance. Measurements are then repeated on a substantially similar reference test structure that is free of to-be-measured contact or via capacitances. By using the capacitance measurements of the two test structures, the to-be-measured contact and via capacitance can be calculated.

  • Publication number: 20100047310
Abstract: Disclosed is a bio-electrospinning technique for preparing a cell-containing, oriented, continuous tubular scaffold, made of biodegradable polymer, designed for use as a nerve guide conduit (NGC) in nerve regeneration. With a coaxial spinneret, the PC-12 cell medium solution was co-electrospun into a core of tubular fibers, with PLA on the outer shell. The resulted fibers' morphology was characterized via SEM and optical microscopy, and following structural characteristics were found: 1. the larger, hollow fibers had diameters in tenth of microns and wall thicknesses around few microns, 2. an orientation in a preferred direction with the aid of a high-rotating collection device. The fluorescent PC12 cells embedded within the scaffold were cultured and nerve growth factor was added. We observed cells could not only survive the process, but also sustain their viability by undergoing differentiation process, extending neurite along the micro tubular scaffold in the desired direction.

  • Publication number: 20100003519
Abstract: A novel solvent system for dissolving rigid-rod like polymers, such as polybenzoxazole (PBO), is disclosed, wherein said solvent system includes: a methanesulfonic acid (MSA) and a trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). Therefore, the rigid-rod like polybenzoxazole (PBO) can be easily dissolved in said solvent system without extra heat treatment. Besides, the polybenzoxazole (PBO) solution of said solvent system is firstly able to apply into electrospinning at room temperature to produce PBO nano-fiber, which has metallic luster and high thermal stability. Evident supported by the WAXD suggested these fibers have their molecular chains well aligned along the fiber spinning direction and has the advantages of heat resistance, flame retardance, and chemical environmental resistance, thus can be applied to a wide usage.

  • Publication number: 20090250421
Abstract: A fixing seat is provided for fixing a rail to a modem/servo carrying and stowing rack and includes a base, retention pawls, a slide buckling member, an operation knob and springs. The base has a front section to which the retention pawls and the slide buckling member provided. The springs are provided rearward of the slide buckling member and the operation knob is formed with the slide buckling member. Thus, by operating the operation knob to drive the slide buckling member and deforms springs, together with the sliding motion of the slide buckling member into a mounting hole defined in the rack, a mounting process is realized wherein the retention pawls are first fit into the mounting hole and then the slide buckling member slides into the mounting hole to engage an opposite edge thereby fixing the rail to the rack.

  • Patent number: 7555697
Abstract: A data error-detecting method for detecting errors before C1 decoding procedure is provided. First, a bit modulation is performed for modulating data channel bits obtained from an optical disk into 8-bit data. When the data channel bits is determined to introduce a legal mapping, an erasure bit having a first value is derived and tagged at the modulated 8-bit data, otherwise an erasure bit having a second value is derived and tagged at the modulated 8-bit data. After the 8-bit data being arranged as a codeword composed of 32 erasure bits respectively tagged with 32 8-bit data, counting the number of the modulated 8-bit data tagged with the erasure bit having the second value. When the counted number is less than 4, the codeword composed modulated 8-bits data tagged with the erasure bits having the second value can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 7512764
Abstract: A method is proposed for utilizing a memory of a de-interleaving unit comprising the steps of determining a size of the memory according to a maximal symbol number of a data frame, a delay value, an adjustable parameter, and a half of a total symbol number of the data frame; accessing the memory according to a write memory address determined by a first algorithm during data buffering; and accessing the memory according to a read memory address determined by a second algorithm during data retrieving. The conventional access method has the drawback of ineffective use of the memory space of the de-interleaving unit, while the proposed method uses only about half the memory space for implementation.

  • Patent number: RE43019
Abstract: An encoding method for recording gap regions or sectors having repeated data is disclosed. At least one sector is entirely encoded and stored in a memory buffer of the optical recording system. If the currently encoded are gap regions or sector having repeated data embedded in the fields of user data, only those portions affected by the modified header will be encoded to derive associated P code and Q code. The error detection code is firstly generated in the mode 1 standard when a gap region is encoded. P code is then encoded for those regions affected by the sequentially modified header and error detection code, while associated Q code is then derived according the modified header, error detection code, and P code. In the mode 2 form 1 and mode form 2 standards, only those regions affected by the sequentially modified header should be re-encoded again.
