  • Patent number: 9665255
Abstract: A VCI (visual context indicator) color is assigned deterministically and proactively at runtime to user data contexts, and is not stored in the database, spreadsheet, or other context. VCI colors can be high contrast friendly colors. The same color is assigned to a given context each time the application runs unless the context's identifying property has changed. Color assignments are not made by users or by the application's designer, but are done instead by hashing from a context's identifying property into a VCI color palette containing, e.g., eight to sixteen colors. Unlike text-selection coloring, VCI coloring is based on the user data context's identifying property. The color assignment visually indicates context by displaying the context's name in the VCI color, or by displaying a graphical element in the VCI color near the context name. VCI color assignment also shows the occurrence and result of changes in user data context.

  • Patent number: 9659388
Abstract: In an example, a method of gamut mapping may include generating a first second-order or higher response-surface regression model that maps color values corresponding to the second color space to color values corresponding to the first color space. The method may include generating predicted color values for measured color values by inputting measured color values into the first second-order or higher response-surface regression model. The method may include generating, based on predicted color values and a plurality of color values, a second second-order or higher response-surface regression model that maps predicted color values output by the first second-order or higher response-surface regression model corresponding to the first color space to color values corresponding to the first color space.

  • Publication number: 20170140556
Abstract: In an example, a method of gamut mapping may include generating a plurality of color values in a first color space based on a plurality of measured color values in a second color space using a color specification that maps color values corresponding to the second color space to color values corresponding to the first color space. The method may include generating a second-order or higher response-surface regression model that maps color values corresponding to the first color space to color values corresponding to the first color space.

  • Publication number: 20170124171
Abstract: Universal automatic data update detection and publication may include receiving a request for requested information, which includes an information element associated with a structured data location in a structured data storage unit, identifying a predicate referencing the structured data location, including the predicate in a predicates registry by compiling the predicate into an intermediate representation, creating an asynchronous message bus channel corresponding to the predicate, detecting a data operation for the structured data storage unit, wherein the information element is associated with the data operation, evaluating the intermediate representation, determining a predicate domain change type corresponding to the data operation, generating a change notification including an indication of the change type, and publishing the change notification to the asynchronous message bus channel such that a presentation via the client device is updated in response to the change notification.

  • Patent number: 9626775
Abstract: In an example, a method of calibrating a white point of a display may include receiving a plurality of color values, and one or more measured color values corresponding to one or more colors displayed by a first target display. The method may include generating, based on the plurality of color values and the one or more measured color values, a second-order or higher response-surface regression model that maps color values corresponding to a second color space to color values corresponding to a first color space. The method may include generating predicted color values for a specified white point by inputting a plurality of specified color values corresponding to the specified white point into the second-order or higher response-surface regression model, where each predicted color value may correspond to the first color space and each of the specified color values may correspond to the second color space.

  • Patent number: 9524092
Abstract: Some implementations provide automatic display mode selection for a device, such as a mobile display device, according to a hierarchy of criteria. Each display mode may correspond with a set of display parameter settings, which may include a color depth setting, a brightness setting, etc. In some examples, one of the criteria may correspond with a software application being executed on the device. Some implementations involve creating a display device user profile and controlling a display of a mobile display device according to the user profile. The user profile may be built gradually over some number of days/weeks/months after the first use of the device. In some implementations, display parameter setting information or other device setting information corresponding to data in a user profile, including but not limited to demographic data, may be received by a mobile display device from another device, such as a server.

  • Publication number: 20160258765
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and program products are disclosed for reducing road travel costs. By use of a processor, multiple routes that a vehicle may traverse to get from a starting point to a selected destination are determined. A projected mileage that the vehicle will traverse to get from the starting point to the selected destination for each route is dynamically calculated. • Publication number: 20160253038
Abstract: A method and system is provided to enable precise object control for performing tasks on touch-screen devices by using only a finger. Through deriving an action-point by adding a user-definable directional offset to the touch-point, the software program can display a graphic which represents a virtual tool with its functional part located at the derived action-point and its other end extending close to or under the fingertip. Visually, the spatial relation between the virtual tool and the fingertip makes the user feel the virtual tool is directly operated by the fingertip. As the virtual tool can be programmed to move along with the user's fingertip point by point, it enables the software to perform the intended task (for example, drawing a curve) as precise as the device can detect the change in the touch location of the fingertip. Furthermore, allowing the user to customize the size and orientation of the virtual tool enables greater user control and comfort.

  • Publication number: 20160220567
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treating or preventing bone diseases comprising halofuginone as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition for treating or preventing bone diseases, comprising, as an active ingredient, halofuginone having an osteoclast differentiation inhibitory efficacy and an osteoblast differentiation stimulatory activity. The composition for treating or preventing bone diseases, comprising halofuginone as an active ingredient, according to the present invention, reduces the expression of Th17 cells and increases the expression of Treg cells, thereby representing an effect of inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and being capable of also effectively inhibiting bone resorption by osteoclasts. Furthermore, the composition of the present invention will be able to be usefully utilized as a use for the treatment or prevention of bone diseases by being able to promote the differentiation and activity of osteoblast.
