  • Publication number: 20110002273
Abstract: A method for transmitting subframe grouping information and a method for decoding subframe-grouped frames are provided. The subframe grouping information transmission method updates a grouping information field of a MAC message, which a serving base station periodically broadcasts to an MS, using subframe grouping information determined by a target base station, and periodically transmits the MAC message to the MS. This method enables provision of a downlink signaling method for supporting variable TTIs of a base station when handover is performed, thereby minimizing service delay of each mobile station and enabling efficient utilization of resources.

  • Publication number: 20100323647
Abstract: A method for controlling, a power saving mode of a mobile station (MS) in a mobile communication system is disclosed. The method differently defines operations of power saving modes of individual cases in association with message traffic distinguished from user traffic of a service, so that it can effectively reduce power consumption of the mobile station (MS). Firstly, the listening window of the power saving mode is used. Secondly, a method for transmitting a request message for pending the sleep mode is used. If the sleep-mode pending is requested, the sleep-mode resume message may be used in the case of a reactivation, or the reactivation can be automatically performed if a current time reaches a predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20100322229
Abstract: A method for allocating various transmit time intervals (TTIs) if a sub-frame structure is used, in a radio access system is provided. A transmitter transmits a super frame header including TTI information of a sub-frame included in a super frame to a receiver and transmits a sub-map including resource allocation information to the receiver, thereby dynamically allocating the TTI. Since the TTI information may not be received via the sub-map in every sub-frame, it is possible to prevent waste of a radio resource.

  • Publication number: 20100290411
Abstract: A method for allocating resource regions in a wireless access system is provided. This method collectively allocates resources in non-consecutive frames. Specifically, a message, including allocation information used to collectively and non-consecutively allocate identical resource regions, is received from a base station and data is transmitted or received through the allocated resource regions. Since identical resource regions are collectively allocated in multiple frames, it is possible to reduce both the number of transmissions of a MAP message and MAP overhead in a network.

  • Publication number: 20100215012
Abstract: A method of switching a radio resource mode allocated to a mobile station in a wireless access system is disclosed. The method for switching the radio-resource mode allocated to the mobile station in the wireless access system includes, transmitting information of a second radio-resource mode to a base station, thereby requesting a switching from a first radio-resource mode allocated to the mobile station to the second radio-resource mode, and re-requesting the switching of the radio-resource mode using a high-speed feedback channel, if a message approving the switching of the radio-resource mode is not received within a predetermined time. So, a variety of problems caused by inconsistency in operation mode between a mobile station receiving no control messages and the base station can be solved.

  • Publication number: 20100208684
Abstract: A method for allocating resource regions in a wireless access system is provided. This method collectively allocates resources of consecutive frames. Specifically, a message, including allocation information used to collectively and consecutively allocate identical resource regions, is received from a base station and data is transmitted through the allocated resource regions. Unlike the conventional method, a resource region is not allocated in each frame but instead identical resource regions are allocated in multiple frames, thereby reducing MAP overhead in a network.

  • Publication number: 20100177831
Abstract: A method for a mobile station (MS) to acquire system information of other communication systems via an initial entry communication system in which the mobile station (MS) initially enters via a base station (BS) is disclosed. The BS can deliver system information using a message transmitted to the MS at each frame or at intervals of a periodic time. In other words, the BS delivers specific information indicating whether the system is supported or not in a message. If the system is supported, the BS transmits a message including the system information to the MS. During or after the initial entry, the BS may deliver the system information using messages communicated with the MS. Namely, the BS can voluntarily or on the MS? demand transmit a message including the system information to the MS indicating whether the system is supported.

  • Patent number: 7734863
Abstract: Since JFFS, which is used as an existing method of storing data in a flash memory, stores all data sequentially according to a generated order, pure data of a file system and metadata for managing the pure data must be sequentially stored. Thus, when a PC is turned on and mounts the file system, since all metadata must be read to RAM, the entire space of the flash memory must be read, and thus a long time is taken to mount the file system. An increase in the capacity of the flash memory causes an increase in the mounting time. Thus, a booting time taken to turn on and use an embedded system significantly increases. Accordingly, JFFS is not suitable for embedded systems requiring quick access.
