Abstract: A system for managing building automation systems and information technology systems includes an IT management server in communication with a plurality of IT sites and a BAS integration server in communication with a plurality of BAS sites. The system further includes a user application server that communicates with the IT management server and the BAS integration server to provide at least one application for managing the plurality of IT sites and the plurality of BAS sites.

Abstract: A controller for use with a plurality of BAS devices and a plurality of IT devices includes a housing and communications interfaces for connecting to the plurality of BAS devices and for connecting to the plurality of IT devices. The controller further includes a network communication module configured to serve as a network switch for the BAS devices and the IT devices. The controller yet further includes a BAS module configured to manage the BAS devices.

Abstract: A method for providing control to a building zone uses a building automation system and a portable wireless device located within the building zone. The method includes the step of identifying the portable wireless device using wireless communications. The method further includes retrieving information from a memory device specific to the identified portable wireless device. The retrieved information comprises a user preference relating to the building automation system. The method further includes adjusting a parameter of the building automation system based on the retrieved information.

Abstract: A system provides radio frequency signals devices inside a building. The system includes one or more receivers, each receiver configured to receive one or more radio frequency signals from at least one source. The system further includes a device configured to receive the signals from the receiver or receivers. The device combines the received signals into a combination signal and converts the combination signal to a digital signal. The digital signal is then provided over a digital communications medium within the building. The system further includes an antenna system configured to receive the digital signal and to retransmit the radio frequency signals from the sources to the devices inside the building.

Abstract: A method for determining the location of a device of interest is described. The method includes gathering a wireless communications characteristic of the communications between the device of interest and the BAS devices. The method further includes using a processing circuit to determine the location of the device of interest using the gathered wireless communications characteristics and location information regarding the BAS devices.
