  • Publication number: 20180288574
Abstract: Systems and methods for redirecting notifications, including determining that a first mobile device is in motion at a speed that exceeds a threshold value; determining that the while the first mobile device is in motion at a speed that exceeds the threshold value, the first mobile device is within a threshold distance of the second mobile device; determining, from an input received by the first mobile device that the first mobile device is in a position of a driver of an automobile; determining that a second mobile device is in a position of a passenger of the automobile; and automatically transmitting the notification from the first mobile device to the second mobile device, without providing an indication to a user of the first mobile device that the notification was received by the first mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10057705
Abstract: Audio processing method is described to continuously process an audio signal while changing between audio modes so that the listener does not experience a discontinuous sound during the transition. The first audio signal can be combined with the second audio signal to produce a smooth, continuous output signal that changes to only having the second audio signal over a time period. A global gain can be reduced during the transition from the first audio mode to a subsequent audio mode. Differences in the parameters from the first mode to the second mode can be determined and the parameters that differ are stepped from an initial value to a subsequent value over a transition time to produce a smooth audio signal.

  • Patent number: 10028492
Abstract: Operating at constant depth, various embodiments are provided equipped with automatic depth-control mechanisms in dynamic devices such as lures and carriers that acquire and maintain a constant target depth when pulled through a medium such as water. The depth-control mechanism incorporates a mechanical pressure measurement of depth using a bladder with changing dimensionality and mechanical coupling to a variable angle dive plane. The measured pressure is compared with the target depth pressure causing the dive plane angle to adjust and converge to an adjustable target depth with forward motion due to retrieval or trolling. The dive plane extension is optionally a variable angle lip or bill protruding from the front of the lure or a pectoral fin-like configuration. Multi-purpose carriers are provided that can perform various underwater sensing and measuring tasks. Included are systems and methods for using a lure or platform equipped with a depth-controlling device.

  • Publication number: 20180055183
Abstract: A handheld appliance includes a user operable button, a switch and an actuator including an arm extending between the button and the switch wherein the button has three linearly spaced positions each position corresponding to a different state for the switch. The arm may include a surface adapted to engage with the switch. The switch may include a lever and the lever is moved by contact with the surface. The lever may have a first position and a second position. The second position of the lever may be a neutral position where the lever is not in contact with the surface. When the lever is in the first position, the surface may engage with the lever. The lever may be housed within a recess of the arm. The switch may comprise a first switch and a second switch which may be longitudinally spaced.
